"I'm outside granny." Ayanna said into the phone.

"okay I'll be out in a minute." Demetrious said as she hung up the phone.

Within a few minutes Demetrious walked out the house with a red romper with some brown MK sandals that she had got with her disability check, she wore her hair flat ironed that came down to her shoulder. Demetrious was only in her early fifty's and could pass for her early forty's she was a true beauty that aged well.

"You look beautiful Granny this where i get my good looks from." Ayanna said as she kissed her Granny cheek

"you know what they say black don't crack, where are you taking me today?" Demetrious said as she got situated in the passenger seat

"just on a little breakfast date i haven't been by to see you in a while, and i missed you that's all." Ayanna said as she pulled out of the parking lot

Ayanna was very close to her grandmother every since she was baby her mother would drop her off or leave her at the doorstep at her Granny house, the only time she would be with her momma is if it had something to do with getting a check other than that Ayanna was her Granny baby. Granny was so hard on Ayanna because she seen so much in her, she wanted her to do big things in this world instead of living her life in Queens.

"I hope you taking me to my favorite breakfast place I only go on Sunday's to." Demetrious said

Ayanna looked over her granny and smirked before going back to looking at the road "I already know IHOP."

Ayanna was in fact taking her granny to her favorite restaurant she like to go to, pulling up the ladies walked side by side into the slightly crowded restaurant, hearing little babies fussing, families laughing among themselves, to family feuding with each other over the smallest thing. The host walked the two to a empty both Ayanna sat on one side while Granny sat on the other side.

"I don't even know why you like to come and eat here granny it smell like musty kids." Ayanna said as she looked through the menu

"oh girl hush it! I use to take you here all the time after church you use to love coming here as a child what happen?" Demetrious said

"for one I'm not a child anymore and two some things get played out." Ayanna said as she thought about what's been going on.

"I sense that something is bothering you, what's on your mind?" Demetrious asked as she closed her menu.

Ayanna pulled her menu down and started venting she hadn't had the time to really sit down and talk about how she felt about each situation but once she did she knew it was all to much to handle.

"Tia went on the shaderoom Granny and told lies about my last relationship, a topic I didn't want out there for the world to hear." Ayanna said

Demetrious knew all about Ja'Von she told Ayanna more than once to leave that man for good but she never did, Ayanna thought she was in love.

"then Tay Tay got on live way before saying all kinds of stuff about me, It's like they switched up out of nowhere." Ayanna continue on to say.

"well I never like that fast ass girl Tay Tay running up after that boy, what's his name again?" Demetrious asked trying to pinpoint the boy name

"Tysheem Granny." Ayanna said

"yeah that's the one, she hurt my poor grand baby Unique and ever since then I didn't fool with her. Sweetheart you can't let them take you out of character they want a reaction out of you cause your beginning to do big things in life while they still living with their no for good momma." Demetrious said as she shook her head
