Third POV

Anaya walked away, her footsteps hurried and her heart pounding. That stranger... how dare he judge her like that? Just because he wore expensive clothes and had an air of wealth around him—did that give him the right to humiliate someone?

Still, in that moment—facing him—she knew that silence was the wisest choice. Her father always said, "You can't calm fire with fire."
And that man... he wasn't just fire. He was a walking volcano. Silent, simmering, dangerous.

But his eyes—those beautiful green eyes—they told another story. She had never seen eyes like his before. They weren't just intense... they held secrets, oceans of pain hidden behind granite walls. Why did she feel drawn to that sadness? Why did she want to be the one to ease it?

"Ugh..."

Shaking her head, she walked toward the parking lot where Abhi had asked her to wait. He had gone to the restroom, and on her way out, she had bumped into that man—the rest was history.

Spotting Abhi near the car, she jogged toward him.

"Abhi..." she called out, slightly breathless.

Abhi rushed to her, worry written all over his face.
"Dora, where were you? I was looking everywhere—are you okay? Why are you running?"

He fired questions back-to-back, panic lacing his voice.

Placing her palm on his chest gently, she said,
"Abhi, relax..."
She then narrated everything to him, and only after hearing her did he let out a sigh of relief.

"You should've called me, yaar. I was so tense not seeing you."

One hand pressed to his forehead, the other rested on her shoulder. It felt... intimate.

Realizing her hand still lingered on his chest, she awkwardly withdrew it and stepped back. Abhi mirrored the movement, clearing his throat. Wanting to shift the mood, he teased with a grin,

"Okay, Miss Little Doctor, let's take you home before 11:30, or uncle will have my head."

They laughed together as they got into the car, though Anaya's mind was still entangled with the memory of a certain pair of green eyes.

What she didn't realize... was that those very eyes had seen everything.

And now, they were restless.

Arjun Rajvansh stormed toward his car, his jaw clenched, fury simmering just beneath his cold exterior. But the moment his gaze landed on her, all else blurred.

There she was—Anaya—with a guy.

Who the hell is he? Her boyfriend? His lips curled with annoyance before he caught himself. Why do I care?

Still, rage flared. His evening was already ruined—thanks to her—and now this?

He looked down at his palm... the same palm she had touched.
He could still feel the softness of her skin there.
Disgusted with himself, he clenched his fist and hissed under his breath.

A while earlier...

When Anaya left the table, a part of Arjun had waited... hoped... that she'd turn back. Just once.
Those eyes—he could have drowned in them.

But she didn't look back. And that infuriated him.

Before his temper could explode, he dismissed the manager coldly. But then...

"Arjun baby... oh god, what happened?" Ruhani's shrill voice cut through the air.

"I don't want to talk about it. I'm going home," he replied sharply, voice like steel wrapped in ice.
