Song:- Deer In Headlights. (Sia.)

If you are alone,
I'll be your shadow...
If you want to cry,
I'll be your shoulder...
If you are not happy,
I'll be your smile...
If you need me,
I'll always be there for you.....

Third-person POV.

The moment Arjun stepped into his room, he laid Anaya gently on his bed. But as he tried to pull away, her fragile arms clutched his neck with desperate strength.

"N-No... don't... don't go. Please..." she whimpered, trembling, her voice shattered by fear.

Arjun froze.

His heart—something he believed long dead—twisted violently inside his chest. Rage coiled in his gut like a serpent, but he swallowed it down for her sake.

"Shh... I'm here, Anaya," he whispered, his voice raw and low. "Just getting water... I'm not leaving you. I will never leave you. I swear on everything I am—you're safe now. No one will ever touch you again... not while I'm breathing."

She clung to him like a lifeline.

Arjun, the cold-hearted, ruthless Rajvansh, who never knew how to comfort, found himself brushing her hair tenderly. Her fingers trembled in his grip. He sat beside her, holding her hand, whispering words he never thought himself capable of saying.

But behind his calm facade burned an inferno.

Who dared touch her?

Who the fuck laid a hand on what was his?

He listened—barely. Each word she spoke only poured gasoline on the wildfire within him. And when she finally broke down, crying into his chest, he held her tighter. His jaw clenched so hard it hurt.

Someone... in his own palace... had tried to defile his wife.

His vision blurred with fury. Blood. He needed blood.

But when she tried to get up, her voice small, her courage fragile, he snapped.

"Mr. Rajvansh... can you... can you please call someone to escort me back to the guest chamber? I... I shouldn't be here..."

His eyes darkened like a brewing storm. He stood slowly, each word a threat.

"Like hell you're leaving this room. Dare to step one foot outside, Anaya, and I swear—don't test my patience tonight."

Her eyes widened.

"But... but your Daadi said—"

"I don't give a damn what anyone said," he growled. "You're staying here. With me. This room... this bed... this night—they belong to you. And if anyone dares question it, let them come face me."

His voice left no room for argument.

She fell silent. Her body still shivered, but in his presence, she felt safer than she'd ever been. He treated her wounds with such unexpected care that tears welled in her eyes again—but this time, for a different reason.

She didn't understand what was happening between them. Why her heart fluttered when he touched her. Why his closeness didn't scare her anymore.

He caught her staring.

"What is it?" he asked gruffly.

She looked away quickly. "Nothing..."

He ran his fingers through her hair, brushing a loose strand away. "Sleep, Anaya. I'll handle everything else."
