Third POV.

Anaya stood frozen as Arjun caged her between the wall and his own burning presence coming back again after changing. Her breath hitched. The world blurred. He was wearing a simple, traditional kurta-pajama—but on him, it looked devastating. Her gaze lingered longer than it should have...and he noticed.

A smirk curved on his lips, dark and knowing.

"I think I'm looking good...hmm?" His voice was soft but carried the weight of dangerous confidence.

Anaya's eyes widened, caught. Her cheeks flushed crimson, and she immediately looked down.

Oh God...Anaya, you idiot...why were you checking him out?

Arjun's eyes darkened, inching closer to her. "Forty-eight hours. Thirty-seven minutes."

Her brows drew together. "Huh?"

He tilted his head, voice a low, husky whisper. "That's how long it's been since I last saw you. Where were you yesterday? I asked Aashi to tell you I needed to meet you. Why didn't you come?"

She blinked in confusion. He called? When? Aashi didn't mention anything...

"You called me?" she whispered nervously. "But...why?"

He looked at her face—genuine confusion clouding her eyes. His jaw tightened. Aashi. That brat. She didn't tell her anything.

He exhaled sharply, brushing it off. "Leave it. You're rushing out...without this."

He held up her misplaced dupatta, his eyes flickering downward briefly before he pulled them away. But not before she noticed.

Her neckline was exposed. Arjun had seen. She swallowed hard. So did he.

His gaze had dipped just for a second...but in that second, a thousand sinful thoughts clawed through his mind. Her skin...so soft, so untouched. He was a man caging a storm inside.

She stepped back instinctively. "Mr...Mr. Rajvansh...wha—what are you—"

He gripped her waist as her knees buckled.

"What am I doing, Mrs. Rajvansh?" he murmured darkly. "Just trying to memorize the details..."

She stared at him, completely at loss. What details?

He exhaled slowly. "Nothing. Let me help you with this. I don't want the men out there looking at what belongs to me."

Her lips parted slightly in shock. What belongs to me...

He stepped closer. She barely registered the soft tremble running down her spine as he gently draped the dupatta. His fingers brushed her skin. Her eyes fluttered shut. Every accidental graze ignited something unfamiliar...electric.

And Arjun—Arjun was fighting every dark urge surging inside him.

She's too innocent for your tainted soul. Don't ruin her.

But God, how she felt under his touch...

"You know how to pin a dupatta?" she asked, barely above a whisper.

His hands paused. "Maa...when I was younger, I used to help her. When she..." His words trailed off, his jaw stiffening.

A flicker of pain passed through his eyes, and for a moment, Anaya saw it—the broken boy buried beneath the ruthless man.
