I don't know what's killing me more.
Talking to you....or...
Not talking to you........

Third POV

"I see that you've changed your friend... What happened, got bored of me already?"

Arjun's voice was low, razor-sharp with fury. His eyes—those cold, stormy green depths—blazed with something far more dangerous than anger.

He wanted to destroy everything.

Anaya froze. Her heart skipped a beat as his words echoed in her ears.

Now what...?

She hadn't been expecting this—this side of him. His anger was... suffocating. But more than that, it was confusing. Why was he so furious? Who she met, where she went—it had nothing to do with him.

Right?

Right...?

But his eyes—those haunted, darkened eyes—told a different story.

Arjun's fists clenched at his sides. All he could see was red. The image of another man—touching her, laughing with her, standing too close—kept flashing through his mind like a curse. His possessiveness was eating away at his sanity.

And her silence?

It was driving him mad.

He took a step closer, invading her space. His voice dropped, deep and demanding.

"Who was that man? I'm asking you something."

She could feel the heat of his fury. But she refused to be intimidated. She turned her face away in pure annoyance.

Arjun's temper snapped.

"Tell me, dammit! Don't test my patience, Anaya!" he thundered, voice laced with venom.

"That's none of your business, Mr. Rajvansh." Her voice came out firmer than she expected.

His jaw tightened. "Oh, trust me, baby... it is my business. So tell me who that fucker was—your boyfriend?"

His words dripped with possessive rage. Each syllable a warning.

"Excuse me? What did you just say?" she snapped, eyes wide with disbelief. "Listen here, Mr. Rajvansh. Whoever I meet—or don't meet—is none of your concern. Please stay within your limits."

"Limits..." he laughed, but there was no humor in his voice. Only danger. "That's rich—coming from you, Miss Gill."

Her chest rose and fell as she tried to contain the storm brewing inside her.

"And for crossing those limits, I said sorry... multiple times. I even sent those stupid gifts. But I realized something... we're too different. You're from a world I don't belong to. I'm just a common girl to you. I hold no value in your life. So yes—those apologies were pointless. And I'm done. Whatever friendship we had, it's over."

Her voice trembled, not with fear—but with heartache.

She remembered that girl at the café. Clinging to him. Beautiful. Confident. Belonging to his world.

Of course, he'd forgotten her. Why wouldn't he? What was she thinking, sending him gifts?

He had girls like her.
