Third POV.

Next Morning – Raj Mahal

The morning sun crept into the palace like a silent intruder, but Anaya sat near the jharokha window, sleepless and haunted. Her eyes were puffy, lips pale, and that kiss still burned on her mouth like a sin she couldn't scrub off.

She touched her lips lightly.

How could she let that happen?
How could she—just for a second—feel something she shouldn't?

"I hate him... I hate him for making me feel like this... I hate myself more."

She thought time would make things easier, but last night had changed everything. The kiss had shattered whatever illusion she had built around her emotional walls. It wasn't just guilt. It was... something else. Something unknown... and terrifying.

She stood up and walked toward the large mirror, adjusting her dupatta, her mind clouded.

Meanwhile...

Arjun – North Wing Corridor

Arjun Rajvansh walked through the corridor with a storm brewing inside him. His expression was unreadable—cold, hard, composed—but his chest burned with everything he didn't say last night.

"She held a knife... for me."

That moment had clawed at him, for the first time making the great Arjun Rajvansh feel something dangerously close to fear. He had faced death, betrayal, politics—but not this. Not the possibility of losing her.

So, he avoided her.

Let her stew in confusion. Let her question what it meant.

Because he knew one thing—if he saw her again right now, he wouldn't stop at a kiss.

Later That Day – Raj Mahal Courtyard

Anaya stepped out, hoping some fresh air would clear her mind. Her black and pink churidar fluttered gently in the breeze as she tried to mask her disheveled emotions. She hadn't seen Arjun all morning, and that unsettled her more than it should.

"Why does it matter if he avoids me? It's better this way."
Yet, her heart told another story.

Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks.

Across the courtyard, Arjun stood near a vintage car, talking to a young woman—elegant, flawless, overdressed. The woman was laughing, flipping her hair, standing a little too close, brushing imaginary lint off his shoulder.

Anaya's breath hitched.

Her stomach twisted. Her hands balled into fists. She had no right—absolutely none—to feel what she was feeling.

But the way Arjun let the woman speak... and didn't move away...

"Why isn't he pushing her off like he does with everyone else?"

The woman placed her manicured hand on Arjun's chest, whispering something with a teasing smile.

And then, he looked up—directly at Anaya.

Their eyes locked.

Arjun's expression shifted for a second. He saw the hurt in her eyes. The jealousy. And he smirked.
