We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can find our joy......

Third POV.
Anaya woke up the next morning to an empty bed and an eerily silent room. She let out a long, exhausted sigh.
Good... I don't want to see his face anyway.
She reached for her phone and blinked at the screen.
7:00 AM.
Shit! The rituals start early today!
She shot up from bed and rushed to get ready, her steps quick but deliberate. Her eyes scanned her wardrobe, selecting a beautiful blush pink saree, soft but regal — the kind Vedika had taught her to drape with elegance and poise. She paired it with a sleeveless blouse that exposed the graceful curves of her shoulders. The jhumkas jingled softly as she moved, and her bangles clinked like tiny bells echoing the storm she hid inside.
She clasped the mangalsutra around her neck — a symbol of marriage, of him. She looked at it for a moment. Her fingers paused.
Her heart clenched.
A bond forged in fire. And now I live in the ashes.
Giving herself one last look in the mirror, she pulled her shoulders back and straightened her spine.
Smile. Pretend. Survive.
She stepped out of the room and headed straight to the temple room, where Sampoorna and Dadi were already arranging flowers and preparing the altar.
Sampoorna smiled as Anaya entered. She walked closer, and in hushed tones, explained the "Byah Haath" tradition.
"It's not just a ritual, Anaya. It's a prayer wrapped in music. A song of purity, celebration, and blessings for the bride and groom. Mangal geet connects generations of women — it's sacred."
Anaya nodded attentively. Her mind absorbed every word — she wanted to do this right. For Aashi. For her best friend. She kept her face composed, though her mind still echoed with Arjun's harsh words and his burning touch.
Stay focused. Not for him. For Aashi.
Throughout the day, Anaya managed to successfully avoid Arjun. Not even once did their paths cross — and she intended to keep it that way.
Later in Vedika's room, Anaya packed her tools and checked Vedika's vitals.
"Well, mommy and baby are both doing well," Anaya said, scribbling notes with a soft smile. "But I'd still suggest more fluids and less running around. Sit in one place, bhabhi. You're in your last month now."
She turned toward Krish with a mock sternness.
"Bhai, that vitamin tablet I gave you? Make sure she takes it. And keep her off her feet. If she feels even the tiniest cramp, call me. Immediately."
Vedika chuckled and placed Anaya's hand on her belly. As if on cue, the baby kicked. A shared, silent joy passed between them.
"He always does this when you're around," Vedika said, stroking her stomach. "He loves you."
Anaya smiled, her eyes soft.
Krish captured the moment in a photo.
"What's not to love?" Aashi chimed, flopping down beside them. "She's an angel."
