Third Person POV

It was the same day at Heartbeat Hospital, just outside the operating theatre. A family sat in tense silence, waiting—hoping—for good news. For four long hours, all they had heard were the painful screams of a woman in labor. Still, there was no update.

Then, ten minutes later, a newborn's cry pierced the hallway.

The family instantly lit up with joy.

Soon, a nurse stepped out, her face glowing with relief.
"It's a girl! Congratulations. Mother and daughter are both fine. We'll be shifting them to the general ward shortly."

The tension dissolved into smiles and quiet prayers of gratitude.

A moment later, the doctor who had led the delivery stepped out with a nurse by her side. An elderly man from the family rushed to her, folded his hands in gratitude, and said,
"God bless you, Doctor. If you hadn't arrived in time... I don't know what would've happened."

The doctor pulled off her mask and smiled gently.
"Sir, I just did my duty. There's no need to thank me. I'm simply glad both mother and baby are safe. Please take care of them."

Just then, a nurse called out, "Dr. Gill!"
The doctor turned, gave the family a final smile, and replied,
"Yes, I'm coming."

As she walked away, the old man looked after her with reverence.
"Such a beautiful girl, and a golden heart. May God grant her all the happiness in the world."

That young doctor was Dr. Anaya Gill—a gynecologist by profession, and an angel at heart. A shy, humble soul with natural beauty and boundless compassion. Despite being born into a respected and wealthy family, she wanted to make her own identity. She adored her family, especially her father, but never used their name to climb the ladder in her career. Everything she had, she had earned.

Once she reached her cabin, her assistant nurse briefed her on her day's schedule. Anaya nodded and got to work.

After her third patient, the cabin door burst open, and a girl stomped in with a grumpy face. Anaya calmly continued checking her current patient—an expectant mother—and only looked up after she had finished.

"Yes, Aashi. What is it?"

That girl was Aashi Singh Rajvansh, Anaya's best friend.
Aashi gasped dramatically.
"I've been waiting for the past twenty minutes, and all you say is 'What is it, Aashi?' That's it? You've changed!"

Anaya just shook her head with a knowing smile.

At that moment, Vedika Rajvansh entered with Dr. Krish Singh Rajvansh and a very shy Sidharth Singh Rajvansh.

Seeing Sid blush at Anaya, Aashi rolled her eyes and muttered,
"Shy baby," earning a flustered frown from him.

Krish shook hands with Anaya, proud of how far she had come. She was one of the finest in her field.

Once they were all settled, Anaya asked Vedika to follow her into the examination room. Vedika smiled and walked in with Krish.

Vedika liked Anaya instantly. Her humility, her grace—there was something so pure about her. And yes, she was undeniably beautiful.

As Anaya performed the sonography, everyone waited in quiet anticipation.
Then—the heartbeat echoed through the room.

Vedika and Krish both teared up. Krish leaned forward and kissed Vedika's forehead.
"Thank you," he whispered.
