Tæron overlooked the seven hundreth and sixty first possible candidate for the unfated future. So far, in three million years, nobody was worthy.

He was bored.

Skillreet creeped up, wrapping herself on his arm. "Maaastheerrr...." She slithered, " you do realissseeeeee that the ssssstonessss are sssssseentient don't you? Jussssst allow them to choosssseeee for themssssselvesssssss".

Tæron sighed. Skillreet wrapped herself a little tighter. Her master tensed for a second, then shook his head.

Closing his eyes, Tæron summoned the six stones he forged when he defeated the universe snake that now resided on his arm. Using his limitless telekinesis, he flung each stone deep into the vastness of time and space, each one creating a spatial rift and embedding itself in a history that didn't exist yet.

Tæron still wasn't satisfied, but it would have to do. The six people that the stones would choose would eventually meet, fight for dominance and ultimately rip each other and existence itself apart.

A fate he had tried to avoid.
