Chapter 13

Toni's pov

It was ten o'clock when we got to Lucy's house, we didn't realise what the time was when we got to the field, but I pulled up to her house and we sat in silence for a while, "so this is my house" she said smiling and turning to the window and back to me, I smiled back "it's very nice, would you like to join me and the others for breakfast tomorrow at the café?" I asked fiddling with my thumbs I felt her hand on my cheek as she pulled my face to meet hers she kissed me "I would love to" she said pulling away, "so I guess you're out then..." I said holding her hand in mine, I left the car running not wanting to get cold, I noticed her dip her head, "hey we don't have to talk about it, I may not be out with my parents but I understand if you don't want to..." I said as she looked back at me with a week smile.

"I think this would be better if we went inside" she said opening the door to my car, I turned off the engine and got out of the car locking it behind me I walked over to Lucy who was at her door, "don't worry if my brothers here he won't say anything he likes his family life away from school" she said with a smile, opening the door we walked into her house, it was peacefully quit we walked to the stairs, "hey lulu, your home..." a voice said behind us I turned around to see her brother standing there he noticed me and his smile dropped, "what is she doing here?" he said pointing to me with a angerly look on his face, "she's my friend okay, she's not going to talk to anyone she appreciates her privacy just as much as you do" Lucy said to her brother which his face calmed down, I extended my hand for him to take it, "truce... I'm not as bad as you may have heard by Roxy" he took it with a questioning smile, we shook hands.

He walked back to where he came from I'm guessing the living room but who knows he seems pretty chill though, "so that was interesting lulu" I said nudging Lucy, she nudged me back, "only my family call me that" she said laughing, I looked to her, "okay lulu..." I said smiling she shook her head and started to walk upstairs I followed behind her we got to the next floor of the house, we was stopped by a man coming towards the stairs, "hey lulu, who's your friend?" the man asked he stepped forward giving her a hug, "is this the girl you wouldn't shut up about?" he said as he pulled away with a smile on his face, I looked to Lucy to see a blush form on her cheeks, "no" she tried to play off but her blush grew a deeper red, I chuckled to myself, I extended my hand "my names Antoinette but you can call me ani or Toni, sir" he took my hand with a smile and looked to Lucy nodding, "sir I like it, and I knew it..." he said making Lucy put her head in her hand to hide her embarrassment "but it's cool you can call me George" he said with a smile he let go of my hand and started to walk down the stairs, "keep the bedroom door open please" he said in a stern voice.

I turned to see Lucy staring at me with a smile on her face, "that's a first" she said as she turned and walked to her room, she opened the door and walked in I followed closely behind, I stood at the door watching her as she walked to her bed, she dropped her bag and slumped onto her bed lying flat on her bed "are you going to close the door and join me" she said, I did as she said and closed the door and walked over to her bed, "what about your dad?" I said curiously, she lifted her head up and looked at me, "he was joking because he knows I like you and he's very trustworthy and relaxed" she said laying back down, I joined her on the bed and laid beside her, we laid there for a few minutes before Lucy spoke.

"yes I am to answer your question from before..." she said sitting up and crossing her legs underneath her, I joined her in the same position she placed her hand on my knee, "... I came out to everyone after camp, it didn't go so well... with my mum" I watched as she struggled to say the words, I took her hand in mine rubbing soothing circles on her palm, "well... she...erm" I could see tears start to form in her eyes, and then I watched as a tear fell freely down her cheek, it felt like my heart had broken in this moment, "she... erm started yelling and got up from her seat, and started throwing things at me..." I placed my hand on her cheek wiping the tears away, "and then she hit me across the face, and before this she would just grab me or she'd slap me, sometimes leaving bruises... if she had a glass of wine, or she would yell abuse at me and no one would do anything about it..." she said with tears streaming down her cheeks my hand still there she leaned into my hand "but that night she hit me and went to my room still shouting, I followed her to my room she was shoving my stuff into bags and when she'd finish one she threw it at me, and she kicked me out I had nowhere to go so I rang Brett and he brought me here..." she said moving her head from my hand, she rubbed her eyes with her hands wiping the tears away "...and I told them what had happened and I came out to them, and ever since... I've lived here, hence why I now go to your school."

I got up from my knees, moving closer to Lucy I wrapped my arms around here, "I'm so sorry this ever happened to you" I said as I placed a kiss on the top of her head she eased in to my hug, I lost the track of time when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I move from the hug and grab my phone from my pocket seeing my mums caller id, I answer quickly, "hey mum I'm heading home now..." I looked to Lucy smiling she got up from her bed walking over to her door, "okay I'll see you in a bit," she said calmly, I hung up the phone and put it back in my pocket I stood up from the bed and walked over to Lucy I wrapped my arms around her waist, "i don't want to go, but its my mum" she smiled and nodded her head, i planted a kiss on her cheek, "I'll see you at the café, lulu" I said as she rolled her eyes, she brought me closer connecting our lips together, the electricity coursing through my veins from the connection of her lips upon mine, it quickly disappeared as quickly as it appeared, "sweet dreams ani..." she said as she lead me to the front door.

I got home around midnight, I said goodnight to mum and we went straight to bed. I looked to my phone seeing the pictures we took from tonight, I can't believe this is all happening, Lucy is only a street away and Roxy is going to tell everyone about me, and this all happened in a day, I opened my messenger, and found Lucy's name, I clicked on it and started typing out a message,

Ani- sleep dreams lulu <3

I turned my phone of and placed it on my chest when it went off, I opened my phone to see Lucy had replied,

Lulu <3 - I told you only my family calls me that :'D sleep dreams anikabani <3

I turned the phone of smiling to myself, falling asleep to the thought of Lucy in my mind.
