The New Girl

chapter 19

Lucy's pov

It's been a week since me and Toni officially got together, since Toni decide she was going to come out, we was going to go on our first date, she asked me today at school during lunch, she was taking me on a surprise date also she said all day when I asked about it she just kept saying it was a surprise, so here I am in my bed room going through my clothes trying to find something to wear, "lulu what you doing" I hear eve come into my room, I turn to her smiling "Toni asked me on a date, I'm trying to find something to wear" I say her face beamed with excitement, she runs over to my cupboard, she yanks at a dress "this one, you look really, pwety in it" she says I pull it out, it's my favourite dress as well, it had a black top half with a purple plaid bottom making it look like a shirt is wrapped around my waist, it was perfect, I turn to eve and smile at her "it's perfect, thank you, do you want to go pick out a pair of shoes for me too" I say she runs of to my other cupboard swinging the doors open she rummages through my shoes.

I go into my bathroom and get my dress on, I grab my make-up bag and bring it through to my bed room I see eve sat on my bed playing with my teddy that was between my pillows she turns to me and her face drops, "wow lulu" she says I chuckle and sit next to her on the bed, I feel my cheeks grow with red, "so have you decide what shoes I'm going to wear" she turns to me and smiles and points to the floor, there was two pairs, a pair of heels and a pair of pumps, I pick my heels but I'll take my pumps just in case, I put them on and to be honest they are really comfy, thank god she picked theses ones and not the other ones I've got, I pick my bag up and place my pumps in there, I walk back over to my bed and pick up my make-up bag and walk back over to my mirror I sit down in front of it, applying a light natural make up not wanting to over power with colour, I start to twirl my hair in my tongs to make it look wavy and putting it to one side.

I turn to eve who was still sat on my bed "which lipstick do you think?" I ask eve as she wonders over to me, she perches beside me and picks the light pink lip gloss and passes it to me. I apply it on when I hear the bell ring, "do you want to run down and tell them I'll be any minuet" I say to her as she rushes down stairs, I hear dad and Toni saying there hellos when eve gets to them, "she said she will be down in a... in a... minwet" she says, she's so cute, I apply the finishing touches and I grab my bag and walk out of my room closing the door behind me, I walk down the stairs and I lay my eyes on her, she looked hot, she had black jeans on with a white shirt and a leather jacket her top buttons wasn't done up so she was showing a little bit of skin, her jacket stuck to her arms perfectly, her jeans were tight on her which made her shape look perfect, honestly I could say I was drooling, but I wasn't.

She turned and noticed me, she smiled and her mouth dropped open, as she saw me walk down the stairs, she stepped closer giving me a hand to help me down the stairs, "wow you look amazing" she said her eyes never leaving me, I look to eve and give her a wink she giggles to herself, "you can thank eve for this" I say as I step of the last step, she lets go of my hand and bends down to eve, "you did well little one she looks beautiful" she said giving her a high five, she ran off giggling to herself, Toni stood back up landing her eyes on me, I couldn't take my eyes of her and she couldn't take her eyes of me, we stood there for a moment just smiling at each other, when my dad cleared his throat. "uhm, I'm going to set some rules Toni, I want her home by 11 okay" he says with a serious look, I turn to him giving him a stern look, "I'm only kidding" he said laughing to himself, "have fun, as long as you guys are safe" he said giving me a hug to the side, he let go of me and I walked over to Toni giving her a peck on the cheek before walking out the door, "goodnight, sir ill bring her home at 11 promise" she says to my dad which they both laugh when she finishes talking.

I walk out the door shaking my head, as she follows me and closes the door behind her, I see her car parked out in the front, she walks up to me and grabs my hand as we walk to her car she opens the passenger door letting me slid in, she shuts the door and walks round to the driver side and gets in, she starts the car up and turns to me with a smile, I lean over placing my hand on her cheek pulling her closer as I place a sweet kiss on her lips, she smiles into the kiss, we pull apart "you can put whatever music on if you want" giving me her phone, I pick her playlist titled chill, and level of concern comes on, I put her phone in her docking and lace my fingers within hers, she drives off down the road with a smile on her face, honestly I know its early but this is the best date ever.

We drive for a while and we end up going out of town, "so where are you taking me?" I ask wanting to know, but instead of telling me she turns to me and smiles and focuses back on the road, "you're really not going to tell me" I say with a pouty face, she turns to me "no it's a surprise, and don't pull that face" she says smiling at me "we aren't that far from it now" she finishes and turns back to the road, I didn't pay attention to the music that was playing because I was staring at the most beautiful thing in the car, "can you stop staring at me, its distracting" she says, I couldn't help but smile and pull her hand to my lips placing a kiss on her knuckles, "I can't help that my girlfriend is so damn beautiful" she turns to me and blushes but her smile covers it mostly, she turns back.

We driver for a couple of minutes before she turns down a road, and then we are in another city, its busy and bright, the lights and sounds where booming through the streets, she pulls up to a restaurant with chauffeurs, she turns the engine of and gets out walking to my side of the car to open it up for me I get out with the help of her, she smiles at me and keeps our hands intertwined, she passes her keys to the man waiting for her, he passes her a keyring and runs around to the driver's side and drives off to park it up, "you ready" she says and I nod my head in awe, she hoops her arm and I link my arm in it, I follow her lead into the restaurant it was fancy but not too fancy, it was cosy and welcoming, we walked through the doors and was met by a young women standing at a podium, "good evening laddies, and welcome to posh but not to posh, what's the name for the reservation?" she asked with a smile, I looked Toni, "it should be under Cortez" she said with a smile back, the women looked on a clipboard and looked back up to us, "yes right this way laddies" she said as she turned on her heels, we followed behind her.

The aesthetic in this place was amazing it was crossed with gothic but modern day decorations, there was a modern day chandelier hanging from the middle of the celling, it had lamp shades for the lights and was just dangling in random pattern, we was still being shown where we was sitting, when we walk through a pair of doors and into a quieter place, we got shown to our table and Toni pulled the chair out for me and pushed me in, and went and did the same for herself, we get giving the menus and I look through what there was to choose from, the menu didn't seem as posh as you would think, it was ranging from burgers to pizzas, hot dogs to pasta there was also something called the fully loaded fries, which had different toppings you could pick from.

"it's confusing isn't it" Toni says leaning for my hand, I place it in hers and smile, "see and there's me thinking we was somewhere posh" I said teasingly I squeeze her hand lightly in mine, we smile to each other, "but do you like it here?" she asked I looked up from my menu and smiled, "yes I do, I would like it if we even went to the café" I said smiling she looked at me and chuckled, "damn it, why didn't I think of going there, would have been a lot cheaper" she said smiling, I knew she was joking, I smiled back and looked back to my menu, "hey guys so I'm your waiter, and I was just wondering if you would like some drinks?" a young man come over, I looked up from the menu with a smile, he smiled back, "I'll have a diet coke" I hear Toni say with a smile he started writing it down in his notepad, he looks up at me and smiles "I'll have the same, please" I say with a smile, he writes down the order, "alright guys, I'll go and get them for you and when you're ready to order let me know" he says with a smile.
