chapter 25

Toni's pov

I wake wrapped in Lucy embrace, everyone was still here talking away, I turn to Lucy who looks down on me smiling, "hey sleeping beauty" she says smiling, I smile back and tighten my hold around her, I take in a breath "do you want to stay the night?" I ask as I loosen my grip, I look up waiting for her answer, she smiles and nods leaning down and places a gentle kiss on my lips, we break apart when I hear the front door open, "we're home girls" I hear mum shout through the house, I sit up from the comfort of Lucy's embrace, "we're all in here" I say as I place a blanket over me and Lucy I placed my hand in hers under the blanket, I turn to her and smile she smiles back, I turn back to see my parents stood in the door way of the living room, "hey mum, dad, did you have a good night" I ask they look to me and smile, "yes we did honey" mum says, "can we talk to you and Tricia in the kitchen please" I look to my dad, I let go of Lucy's hand and placed all of the blanket on her and followed Tricia into the kitchen, where our parents was waiting.

We stood around the island in the middle waiting for one of them to talk, I could not wait any longer, I spoke first "dad, mum what's this about?" I ask looking to them both, dad walked around to where me and Tricia was standing, "girls, me and your mum have to leave town for a while" he said taking our hands, "okay, why the secrecy" Tricia said looking to him, he swallowed a lump in his throat, "I'm having to go to London, as I've been called into office" he said looking to mum he looked back at us, "when will you be leaving?" I ask looking to him and mum, I watched as he exchanged a look with mum, "tomorrow and we don't know when we will be back" he said, I couldn't believe this it's the week of my first game as the captain and I'm planning on coming out to them and they won't be there for it, "what about the game?" Tricia said taking my hand in hers.

"we aren't sure yet girls" I hear mum say coming round the side of us, I couldn't believe this, "but it's my first game as captain, and I have to do a speech and everything" I say looking to them both, they both exchanged a look, "we know darling, and we will try our best to be there for you and Tricia..." dad started to say as he took my hand, "but we can't promise anything, because I don't know why they want me to come they haven't told me anything yet" he said, I couldn't believe this was happening, I was getting angry I needed to get out of here, "but you don't get it, it's the most important game of my life and you're not going to be there" I said getting up, "Toni it's not like that, we want to be there but we might, might not be there, we are going to try our hardest" mum said placing her hands on my shoulders, I look up to her and she smiles, "okay, but I'll be fine on one condition" I said giving mum a hug, "what's that?" I hear dad speak up, I release and look to him, "me and Tricia can throw a party after the game and tomorrow night" I say mum and dad look between each other and then dad nods his head, "fine but if anything gets broken, its coming out of your funds" he said pointing to me, I smile and give him a hug "deal" I said we laugh at the embrace.

"we are going to pack our bags and go to bed early, is your friends staying tonight or are they going home" mum says as we leave the kitchen, "erm I haven't asked but they will probably be staying" I say as me and Tricia turns back into the leaving room, and mum and dad turns to the stairs, "okay just remember to keep it down and that there is bedding sheets in the cupboard" mum says with a smile, I watch as she disappears up the stairs, I turn to Tricia who was stood there smiling, "how did you know they would say yes, to two parties" she said, I smiled back and shook my head, "I didn't I was hoping" I said smiling we laughed and stumbled into the living room, everyone was sat on the couch laughing when we walked in, Lucy looked up and noticed me first then the others followed behind, "so I hope you guys are free tomorrow night" I said turning to Tricia and back to everyone, in unison they all said "why?" I walked closer to Lucy and sat down beside her, putting my hand on her thigh, "because dad has let us throw a party and you guys better be there" I said looking to them all.

I watched the excitement in Ellie's face grow, she started to jump up and down like a toddler at Christmas, "really... no way... how" she said clapping her hands in excitement, she then stopped and eyed me up, "wet a second... are you pulling my arm" she said, I laughed at her reaction, "no I'm not pulling your arm, and not only that we are also throwing one after the football game" I said looking at everyone, James and Ellie look between each other and start to grin widely, they both get on to their phones, pressing buttons at the speed of light, "what are you guys doing?" I ask as I turn and notice Tricia is doing the same thing, "oh, erm I'm texting my friends about the party" Tricia said, I looked to James and Ellie, they both said in unison, "same" I shook my head at them, I turned to Tricia, "don't invite Roxy" I ask giving her a pleaded look, she looked up to me with an apologetic look, "I'm sorry to late" she said, I rolled my eyes but I got brought out of my thoughts by Lucy putting her hand with mine, I turn to her and she smiles at me, "it's going to be okay cause I'm going to be there" she says pulling me into a kiss.

We break away and I turn to Tricia, "keep her away from me and Lucy okay" I say and she nods back to me, I get my phone out and go onto Facebook, I write a post about the party, to let everyone at school know about it, within minutes of it uploading my phone goes of letting me know about all the people who have reacted or commented on the post, it made me laugh that everyone was so interested in the party, "we got to get alcohol" I hear James say, I look to him and smile he smiled back knowing full well who I was thinking of, we said in unison "David" he liked us because we are his best costumer, and he has told us he would get us whatever we wanted, we carried on talking about the party, when we all fell asleep James and Ellie choose to sleep on the floor, Tricia went to bed and me and Lucy was cuddled up on the couch.

We was peaceful, didn't even know what time we went to sleep, but it was around 5 in the morning when mum came into the living room, "hey Toni" she whispered waking me up from my sleep, "what time is it" I asked rubbing my eyes adjusting to the light, "it's around 5, but I just wanted to tell you that me and your dad are now leaving, we will let you know when we get to London" she says placing a kiss on my forehead, I smile "okay be safe" I say as I lay my head back down on to Lucy, I closed my eyes and fell back to sleep.

I woke up to the empty space under me, I rubbed my eyes I picked up my phone and saw that it was 9 in the morning, I heard noise coming from the kitchen, I get up from the couch and walk in to see Lucy and Tricia laughing to themselves, I walk behind Lucy wrapping my arms around her and placing my head on her shoulders, "so, what we talking about?" I say as Lucy moves closer into my embrace, "we are talking about you, that time you froze on stage singing Mary had a little lamb" Tricia said, I looked up from her and my face dropped, "no you're not" I said looking between them, Lucy started to laugh and nodded her head "well if we are telling embarrassing stories, Tricia on the first day of primary school year 4, I think it was, had to get up on stage and perform the nativity..." I looked to Tricia as her eyes grew wide she knew where I was taking it, "and she was supposed to be Mary, but when she got on stage, she saw everyone and tried to run of the stage but she tripped over her gown and knocked herself out, making me become Mary" Lucy started to laugh as Tricia picked up a tea towel beside her and threw it at us.
