"Ahaan..."

Jayshankar called his son who was sitting idly.

"Are you ok?" asked Jayshankar.

Ahaan wiped off his tears and looked at his father.

"Yes, dad. I am ok."

Jayshankar sighed and showed the letter by Vikram and Jyothika. Ahaan didn't wish to read it. He just stared at it and then read each word.

"It's hard for you to believe the truth. But I won't lie to you. Aarushi is your half-sister. Your mother's second child. Will it be okay if you marry her? If you think it is okay also we won't be able to accept your relationship. Actually, it was our fault. We should have asked you more about her. We waited for you to introduce her to us."

"But dad I have a question. Why did mom and you were hesitant to see her when she was admitted in the hospital?"

"Your mom won't be able to control her emotions. When I told her about their disappearance without informing us, she couldn't believe it. Every night I heard your mother crying and murmuring that they betrayed us." said Jayshankar.

"Do you both hate them?" asked Ahaan.

"No, we don't. But the friendly bond we had, the trust we had for each other lost that day itself. That's why their presence irked us. But one day Vikram came to my office and told me to keep you away from Aarushi. They don't want her to know about her bitter past. After thinking for a long time, I decided to reveal the truth to you coz you are matured enough to understand this."

Ahaan sighed and gave him the letter back. He stood up.

"I want to think dad. It's very difficult for me to remove Aarushi from my life coz she is everything to me. I still can't digest the truth but if our separation will bring happiness for our parents, then I will find a solution to this."

Jayshankar smiled and hugged his son.

"I am so proud of you Ahaan. I was very much hopeful that you will understand everything. This is really heartbreaking for you. I know it but Aarushi won't be able to bear the truth. That she is not their daughter, she is an illegitimate child. A fatherless daughter who was abandoned by her mother to guard her self respect from this world."

"It's ok dad. Now you back to sleep. Mom is waiting for you right. I will tell you both my decision. I need to make a wise decision. Good night dad."

Jayshankar kissed his son and left the room. Ahaan closed the door and sat on his bed. He sighed deeply and kept staring at the wall. But a scream startled him. He became doubtful and then he heard it again. It was his dad's voice.

"AHAAN... COME HERE."

Ahaan rushed towards his father and saw his mother lying unconscious on the floor. He froze.

 He froze
