××Flashback××
Little Ahaan started to cry. Jayshankar went near the mattress placed on the floor and lifted his son.
"Aww, my little boy is protesting. Don't worry cutie. Dad will be back soon to play with you. Till then don't be sad ok. Your mom is here. And even Vikram uncle and Jyothika aunty are also here. So don't cry okay."
Jayshankar tried to calm down Ahaan by singing a lullaby. Just then Neela shouted from the kitchen.
"Jay please don't sing. Our Ahaan won't be able to tolerate your voice."
Jayshankar looked at Ahaan and started to complain.
"Look my cutie. Your mom is jealous of me coz you are more attached to me. Dad knows that my little cupcake loves my lullabies."
Ahaan smiled and seeing this Jayshankar kissed him and put him back on the mattress. Neela entered the room that instant.
"Jay go and have your breakfast. I will handle Ahaan."
Jayshankar went to the dining area. He sat down to have breakfast. Just then the calling bell rang and two people came inside much to the delight of Jayshankar.
"Morning Jay. So all set to fly!"
"Yes, Vikram. After a long time, I am going to meet my brother and his family."
"Where is Neela?" asked Jyothika looking here and there.
"She is feeding Ahaan," said Jayshankar.
The three of them then talked about Jayshankar's mother's health and about her surgery. After some time, Neela came there with Ahaan. Jyothika took him from her and started to play with him. Vikram greeted Neela.
"So when are coming back?" asked Vikram.
"After she gets better. Probably she will also accompany me."
"Good so that she can be with you all," said Jyothika.
Jayshankar finished his food and went to the washroom while Neela went to the kitchen followed by Jyothika. Vikram took Ahaan from her started to play with him.
"So what is the news about your treatment?" asked Neela.
"Still the same. I am fed up with this treatment and all. Doctors don't have much hope for us. Even Vikram is also feeling the same." said Jyothika.
"Don't think in a negative way Jyothi. Have faith in God. He won't disappoint you both. Wait patiently. One day you both will be blessed with a little bundle of joy who will play with our Ahaan. Your happiness is on the way."
Neela tried to cheer up Jyothika and she succeeded. Jyothika smiled and Neela's words encouraged her. The ladies continued their conversation about other things.
Two hours passed and it was time for Jayshankar to leave. He kissed his wife and son who kept a sad expression on his face.
"Dad will miss you, dear. I will come fast okay. Don't trouble your mom."
Jayshankar kissed him again and side hugged Neela.
"I am sad that I can't take you both to the U.S. But you have two people to give you company," said Jayshankar.
"I know it, Jay. Mummy needs you the most and she is also disappointed that we both can't come. Tell her not to be upset. Her surgery won't be complicated. I will pray for her."
