Daksh came out from the room. Jayshankar got up from the sofa.
"Hey, no need to stand Mr Oberoi. Please sit," said Daksh
He took his seat beside Jayshankar and sighed.
"So what's your decision?" asked Jayshankar.
"Well, nothing. I mean I can't do anything. The culprit is no more and your wife says she is not suspecting anyone else. So I don't think there is no point in moving further. It's too late."
"I know it Daksh. Now I think she should have revealed everything earlier. Then it would have been..."
"It's okay Mr.Oberoi. I told you know everything is over now. Leave it."
"I am extremely sorry Daksh."
"Hey, no need to apologize. Everything happens unexpectedly. As your wife said he was punished."
"What about their families? What did they say about their death?"
"Trisha's family are still not recovered from the shock that their daughter killed her husband and herself. Anmol's family didn't say anything much. Both had an arranged marriage but their happiness didn't last long. Trisha was the only breadwinner of her family. But he was forcing her to give her salary to him even though he earned the same as hers. And this lead to their heated arguments which finally resulted in their death. But we are still investigating the case. From where she got the gun is still an unanswered question"
"Hmm what to do? Some become greedy and it can destroy them forever."
"Yes, Mr Oberoi. Ok, so what's next?"
"I don't know Daksh. Now she is carrying. I don't know what's gonna happen to this unborn." said Jayshankar a little upset.
"What"s her decision?" asked Daksh.
"She is ready to give birth. Thank God she is not showing any hatred towards it."
"Hmm. I hope another storm won't hit you both."
Jayshankar didn't respond. He kept his gaze down and his mind was occupied with various thoughts. They both kept silent for a couple of seconds.
"So it's time for me to go Mr Oberoi. I am going to close this chapter. Don't ever think that I am angry with you and Mrs Oberoi. It's destiny's cruelty."
Daksh got up and shook hands with Jayshankar. After he left the apartment, Jayshankar went inside to see his wife and son sleeping. He stood leaning against the door and stared at them for a long time.
After one hour Vikram and Jyothika arrived from the hospital. Both seemed to be a little happy.
"Hi Jayshankar where is Neela?" asked Jyothika.
"She is sleeping with Ahaan. What's the update?"
Vikram and Jyothika looked at each other and she went inside putting a pleasant smile on her face. Vikram patted Jayshankar's shoulder.
"There is a good news buddy. God heard our prayers finally. We are pregnant." said Vikram.
"Really? That's amazing. Congratulations and celebrations my friend." said Jayshankar hugging Vikram.
"So two cuties are coming. So Ahaan is going to get a sibling and a friend to play around."
Vikram looked at him confused. Jayshankar realised his doubt.
"I decided Vikram. I am going to accept her baby. As my own child. As our child and Ahaan's brother or sister. I am going to take care of my wife and the little life inside her. I don't want that baby to get taunts as an illegitimate child."
