Closer Than You Think

Natasha didn't bother asking Tony what happened throughout the flight back to New York, mainly because she felt her breakfast coming up but she couldn't complain, she demanded that he took her with him.

"What's wrong?" She asked as soon as they landed on the roof of the Avengers Tower.

Pepper was waiting patiently and she ran to him as soon he landed.

"Tony, find him," she said while crying and hugged him tightly

"Find who? What's going on Pepper?" Natasha asked feeling even more worried now.

Tony stepped out of his suit before Pepper hugged him and he couldn't control his tears when Pepper broke down in front of him.

He started sobbing too.

"I'll get him back Pep, I promise," Tony said.

"Get who back!" Natasha yelled even though she had a fair idea of who they were talking about but she didn't want to believe it.

A few tears started falling from her eyes too.

"Peter...they took him Nat," Happy said wiping the tears out of his eyes.

"No," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I was waiting for Tony to get back, I couldn't leave Pepper alone, I'm going to go help look for him too," Happy said and squeezed Natasha's shoulder comfortingly before heading down.

"Not my Peter, I'll kill whoever it is when I find them." Natasha said angrily in her head.

"Tony, he could be anywhere, he's hungry, I can feel it," Pepper said while crying still.

"I know Pep, don't worry. As soon as he gets home, we'll feed him whatever he wants," Tony said and wiped her tears.

It was no time to cry, he had to go find Peter.

"I'm going to look for him," Tony said and suited up before flying away.

Natasha started running to the stairs so she could go look for Peter too and Pepper followed her.

She had to help find Peter too, they both got in separate cars and drove to different airports.

Whoever kidnapped Peter would have been smart enough to not keep him in New York, that was a fact.

"Friday, hack into any security cameras near to the school, scan the footage for Peter," Tony said .

"On it boss," Friday said.

After about a minute she spoke up again," Peter was taken into this car by a person with a terrible rip off of your suit sir," Friday said and displayed the car for Tony to see.

"Scan all security cameras for that car," Tony said.

"The car was seen nearby Wellington Airport approximately ten minutes ago," Friday announced.

"Great, that's where I'm headed, inform everyone for me, make sure that the police are swarmed in the airport," Tony said and sped up.

Friday informed the cops, Natasha, Happy and Pepper and they all hurried to the airport. Tony arrived first.

He had Friday hack into the cameras and search for Peter but she was yet to see him.

Meanwhile, some cops were tracking down the car that took Peter to the airport.

But Hammer planned for that, he knew that Tony would eventually track that car, so to throw everyone off his trail he switched cars after taking Peter from school and had the other car drive to the airport, loiter around and then leave.
