3rd POV
The next day at school Peter received his badge for his internship, the principal even proudly announced to the rest of the school that Peter won a Stark Internship."That's so cool dude, imagine if you get to meet Tony Stark," Ned said.
"Peter doesn't like him," MJ reminded Ned, not even bothering to look up from her book.
"Oh right," Ned said. They didn't know why Peter despised iron man so much but they just knew that he did.
"I, I like iron man," Peter said. He always thought that he was a good superhero, deep down inside he knew that Ben had lied to him. Well he never thought that he lied, he thought that Ben had a misunderstanding or something.
Iron man was a great hero, he would have never allowed Peter's parents to die like that.
"Are you going to pretend to like him now just because you got an internship at his company?" MJ asked with raised eyebrows.
"Why do you not like him anyway?" Ned also asked.
"Look, it doesn't matter and no MJ, I don't suddenly like him because of the internship," Peter said and facepalmed.
''Whatever, good luck with the internship, I know that you'll do great, I have to go now," MJ said and walked to a car where her mother was waiting to pick her up from school.
"Thanks!" Peter called out as she was walking anyway.
"I'm proud of you dude," Ned said genuinely.
"Thanks Ned," Peter said with a sigh, maybe one day he would tell Ned about why he hated iron man so much. How could he even believe it.
Tony Stark was a good person, in fact Peter had a lot of dreams where he would spend time with him and the rest of the avengers. It was weird for him to have them as often as he did, but he never brought it up to aunt May though.
It was like an unspoken rule in the house not to speak about Tony Stark, mainly because Peter was the one who established it. He always got mad at the mere mention of his name but now he just feels...guilt?
He spent so much time hating someone who doesn't even know that he exists yet he feels guilty for it.
"Peter!" Ned said snapping his fingers in front of Peter's face and snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah?" Peter asked.
"You totally zoned out on me," Ned said.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" Peter asked.
"I said that you should go now or you'll be late to the internship," Ned said.
Peter looked at his watch and cursed under his breath," You're right, I'll catch you later bro," Peter said.
"Yeah, you'll tell me all about it while you're on patrol," Ned whispered.
Peter nodded and started walking to the subway.
He made it to the building on time, how cool was it that he got to work in the Avenger's tower even though the Avengers didn't live there anymore, well besides Tony Stark.
"How can I help you?" The receptionist asked.
"I'm here for the um Stark Internship," Peter said nervously.
"Can I see your badge?" She asked politely.
"Sure," Peter said and showed it to her. He was feeling even more nervous.
The woman noticed and gave him a comforting smile,"Okay, go in to the elevator and Friday will direct you to where the interns are," She said.
"Thank you," Peter said and went into the elevator. Friday? What was a Friday, well besides the day of the week.
