3rd POV

Peter was shocked to see that it was a bedroom. The fact that it was a bedroom was not shocking at all but it was clearly a kid's room.

There were cartoon characters plastered on the wall and there was a toy chest in the corner of the room and a little study desk to another end.

Was Mrs. Stark pregnant? As far as he knew they never had any children but the chipped paint on the wall suggested that the room was designed a long time ago. Even some of the stickers on the wall had faded.

That wasn't even the strangest thing. For some reason, the room felt really familiar to him, like he had been there before.

"Who the hell are you?" Peter heard someone say as they stepped out of the bathroom that was in the bedroom. Well he wasn't completely wrong, there was a bathroom there.

Peter lifted his head up to see Pepper Potts-Stark and he mentally cursed himself. He entered their personal room without permission.

''Sorry Mrs. Stark, I was looking for the bathroom," Peter explained.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Pepper asked, it was one of the few times she was sober because Tony got rid of all the alcohol and Friday wouldn't order more, and she couldn't be bothered to go out and buy more for herself.

She would always get recognized by the media and asked a hundred questions. She was not that desperate for alcohol.

"I'm Peter," he said.

"Peter? You came back to me, I missed you so much!" Pepper said with tears running down her face.

Peter was confused, what did she mean by he came back. They never met before so why would she miss him. He didn't know why she was crying but what he did know was that he hated seeing her cry, he wanted nothing more than to wipe her tears away and comfort her but he couldn't, because he was a stranger.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Stark, I think that you mistook me for someone else," Peter said.

Pepper's face fell, "You're not my Peter?"

"I'm Mr. Stark's new intern, I um started yesterday," Peter explained feeling guilty for the sadness on her face. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't the person she was looking for but if he had just asked Friday where the bathroom as she would have never met him and mistook him for someone else.

There was one question on his mind though, who was Peter? And why did they have a room for a kid? Was Peter their kid? So maybe he had more than one questions, he didn't know of they would he answered though.

"He would be around your age by now, " Pepper said and broke down into more tears.

Peter stood their awkwardly ,he wanted to comfort her but he couldn't, that was be weird since he was a total stranger. Tony was the only one who could comfort her but he was asleep.

Peter knew if he woke Tony up he wouldn't go back to sleep and he would end up passing out somewhere.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Stark, " Peter said.

"It's not your fault, I shouldn't be crying like this," Pepper said and wiped her tears.

"I know that we just met, but if you need to talk to someone I'm here for you," Peter said and then mentally facepalmed.

As if Pepper Potts would talk about her problems to some random teenager that she just met.

Pepper looked at Peter and suddenly she felt whole again. It was like she found the missing piece that she lost when Peter got kidnapped.
