3rd POV
After Peter talked with his friends for a bit they went back home. Peter started walking to May's apartment, he couldn't wait any longer to get answers. He unlocked the door with the key that he he had and after taking a deep breath he entered the apartment.
Peter heard the sound of water running in the bathroom so he realized that his aunt- no, not his aunt, May was taking a shower.
He went to his old room and started stuffing his clothes into a suitcase that he kept on top of his wardrobe. He packed all his school supplies and everything that he considered important.
Peter looked at the three photo frames that he kept beside his bed on the nightstand. One photo was of him and Mary and Richard. The second was of him with May and Ben. The last one was a photo of all of them.
They were all smiling like if they were a happy family. But they weren't, Peter wasn't their son like he was made to believe. He was stolen from his real family and those psychopaths pretended that nothing happened.
Peter felt a new rage come over him as he picked up the photo frames and started smashing them in the ground one by one. He then ripped the photos to shreds and threw them in the dustbin.
He rolled his suitcase out to the living room and placed his key to the apartment on the coffee table. He wouldn't be needing that anymore.
May walked into the living room and was surprised to see Peter. She pulled him into a hug.
"Peter! Why weren't you answering any of my calls or messages? I was so worried about you!" She said genuinely concerned, she didn't even notice the suitcase that he had nearby. She really did love Peter, after all she took care of him for seven years.
Peter rolled his eyes and broke away from the hug. "Don't act like you care,'' Peter scoffed.
"What are you talking about?" May asked worriedly. She hoped that Peter was upset with her about something else and he didn't find out the truth.
How was he even going to find out about the truth? May tried comforting herself that Peter had to be upset about something totally unrelated to that but then she saw the suitcase.
"Why didn't you tell me who my real parents were?" Peter yelled and May felt her heart skip a beat.
He found out and now he would hate her forever.
"Peter, I'm sorry," May said before Peter started talking.
"I don't want a stupid apology I want to know why!" He exclaimed.
"Mary and Richard took you. They were the only family that Ben and I had, if we had alerted the cops they would have gotten into trouble," May answered with a sigh.
"So why didn't you tell me the truth after they died!" Peter said and rolled his eyes.
"We got attached to you okay! When Ben died too you were all I had left, and you still are all that I have, I couldn't let you go away from me," May tried defending herself.
"I hate you May! You ruined my life! My parent's lives! Everyone in my real family was so worried about me while I was busy being brainwashed into thinking you were my family and guess what May, most of them are gone now. I'm back with my parents but congrats you successfully separated me from the rest of my family!" Peter exclaimed bitterly.
"Peter I'm sorry, I really love you, please forgive me," May said with tears falling down her eyes.
Peter felt his rage subside for moment and he softened because it hurt him to see the woman who he thought was his aunt cry but then he remembered all the tears his mom and dad shed, how much his entire family had probably cried for him and suddenly the anger returned.
