Closer Than You Think

3rd POV

Three years later

Three years had passed since Peter got kidnapped, and there hadn't been a trace of him.

Peter had forgotten about his real family, Mary and Richard had forced him to call them mom and dad.

If he didn't they tortured him in different ways, starving him, locking him in the dark, sometimes even hitting him. Peter said it so much that his young brain started believing it.

They moved back to New York after a while. There was no way that Tony or anyone else would be able to find Peter and of by some miracle they met, they wouldn't have recognized him.

Peter was a huge fan of iron man though, they couldn't change that. He loved Tony Stark too and he begged his parents to take him to the Stark Expo.

Mary convinced Richard after negotiating for a bit. The expo went on all year, it's not like Tony would have been there, and even if he was what were the chances that he would meet Peter.

So they took Peter to the expo but there was some robot attack and they got separated.

Peter stood there and was about to get blasted by one of the robots, he was wearing his iron man helmet and had a toy gauntlet. It would surely protect him.

He raised his hand to blast the robots when suddenly Tony flew in and landed next to him.

He shot the robot and said," Nice work kid," before flying away.

Peter was star struck, his idol spoke to him. He couldn't believe that he got to meet Tony Stark, even if it was for a few seconds.

He looked around for his parents but they were no where to be seen, eventually he was found by some cops.

They ended up calling his Aunt May to come get him because his parents were no where to be found.

It was three long years of searching for Peter for the avengers.

Everyday they were disappointed  but they didn't give up their search.

They were all left devastated but they were determined to find Peter.

Tony and Pepper especially had to put a happy face on in front of the media. Tony made a grand entrance at the opening of the Stark expo.

Everyone thought that his life was perfect but no one knew the truth. He forced himself to go to the expo that day and the only reason that he went back was because he had to stop that Vanko dude from destroying the city.

The rest of the team were on a mission except for Nat, she was with Pepper.

They just realized that Hammer was behind it and Pepper called the cops to arrest him.

"Go on Pepper, take out the competition, it won't bring your son back, I'm the only one who knows where he is," Justin said whispering in her ear.

"What! Where is Peter?" She yelled.

Natasha twisted his hand behind his back and slammed him to the table.

"Where the hell is he!" She yelled with venom lacing her voice.

Justin was scared out of his mind but he wasn't going to talk, he had nothing else to lose so he might as well ensure that his revenge against Tony was complete.

"I have nothing against you but I'm not saying another word," he said with an evil smirk on his face.

It was obvious that he was in pain with how tight Nat twisted his arms.
