With the Ship now flying the Doctor started unpacking the little thins he had. What was normal for him wasn't normal to those that were on the ship, so he was sure to keep most of his things in his room. The room was quaint. Not too small but defiantly not like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside and all.
There was a knock on the hatch and the Doctor answered it.
"We're gonna have a meetin' 'bout rules and such in a short while." The girl named Kaylee said. He smiled making her smile in return.
"I'll be there." He said, and closed the hatch.
IN THE DINING AREA
"Meals are takin' up here in the Dining area." Mal said. "Kitchens pretty much self-explanatory. Welcome to you at anytime. Much in there is pretty standard I guess. Protein in every color of the rainbow. We do have sit-down meals, next one being at about 18 hundred." The Doctor shifted by Book, who he seemed to have attached himself to after they both boarded Serenity.
"I think Shepard Book has offered to help me prepare something." Kaylee said. He smiled.
"You're a Shepard?" Mal asked. Book turned to him.
"Thought the outfit gave it away." He said. "Is it a problem?"
"Of course not." Kaylee said. "It's not a problem." She looked at Mal then at the Doctor. "And this here is the Doctor." The Doctor waved at everybody.
"Hello." He said.
"A Shepard and a Doctor. Well this is going to be an adventure of stories." Mal said. "As I said, you're welcome to visit the dining area at any time. Apart from that I have to ask you to stay in the passenger dorm while we're in the air. The bridge. engine room, cargo bay, they're all off limits without an escort."
"Some of me personal effects are in the cargo bay." Simon said calmly.
"I figure ya'll got luggage you're gonna need to get into. Soon as we're done here we'll fashion there with you. Now, I apologise in advance for the inconvenience, unfortunately we've been ordered by the Alliance to drop some meds off on Whitefall. It's the fourth moon on Athens. It's a little out of our way but we should have you on Boros no more than a day off schedule."
"What medical supplies?" Simon asked.
"I honestly didn't ask." Mal said glaring at him.
"Probably plasma, insulin, whatever they ain't got enough of on the border moons." Zoe said explaining things. Book and the Doctor exchanged glances knowing they were bullshitting this.
"Alliances junk." Mal added. Simon nodded his head.
"All right." He said.
"Zoe, you wanna take them to the cargo bay?" Mal asked.
"Yes sir." She replied.
"Anything you need, just ask. We uhh, we're here to serve." Mal said with a smile.
"Zoe lead them down to the cargo bay letting them pick up any last minute things. The Doctor didn't need to go down, he just wanted to socialize. He talked to the Shepard some, then ventured over to Zoe. She didn't seem like the talking type since she didn't really know him. He decided to help Simon out. He was already a sort of outcast by the way he dressed. He was very proper. Starting up a small conversation he tried his best to be friendly but Simon kept pushing him away.
"Ah." Mal said loudly. "The ambassador graces us with her presence."
"Hello Mal." A woman on a pink dress with a long shall draped over her arm said. She walked down the stared brushing the black curls off of her shoulders. "I see we have some new faces."
"Hey you." Kaylee said.
""Hey you."
"Ambassador. This is Shepard Book." Mal introduced.
""I'd have to say this is the first time we've had a preacher on board." She said extending her hand.
"Well I wasn't expecting to see a start official either." He took her hand gently shaking it. "Ambassador." Mal started laughing. Book looked over to him. "I'm missing something funny."
"Not so funny." Kaylee said.
"Ambassadors Mal's way of-" She started
"She's a whore. Shepard." Mal said.
"The terms companion." Kaylee said.
"I always get those mixed up." Mal said. "How's business?" He asked her.
"None of yours." She gutted.
"She is pretty much our ambassador. Plenty of planets can't much of dock less you have a decent companion board." Mal said to Book. "This, this isn't a problem for you is it?" Book glared at him.
"Well, I-I certain-"
"It's all right." The girl said. "I mostly keep to myself. When I'm not whoring." She started up the steps again to where she came from, Kaylee following behind her.
"Don't you wanna meet the rest of the bunch?" Mal asked.
"Why don't you make sure they want to meet me first." She said.
"So how many fell madly in love with you," Kaylee started asking her. "and wanted to talke you away from all this."
"Just the one." She sighed. "I think I'm slipping."

WOOOO Another chapter down. I'm now slowly bringing in the Doctor. The reason why I have these scenes word for word is because I want those that haven't ever watched Firefly or even Doctor Who to get the idea of the characters. The way I got to know then was by the first couple scenes. Once I'm through the first episode I can add in more Doctor.
