It started with a message that lit up all their phones at the same time.
Miyeon: "Ten years since we graduated. Let's fix that. One night. Our café. Please come."
No dramatic appeals. No guilt-tripping. Just the kind of simple honesty Miyeon was known for-and that they couldn't ignore.
The café hadn't changed.
Same creaky floors. Same smell of roasted beans and vanilla. Same corner couch they used to squeeze into after every cram session and failed math test.
Shuhua walked in first, pulling down her hoodie, cheeks flushed from the cold.
"Still smells like over-caffeinated heartbreak," she muttered, grinning as she took her usual seat by the window.
She texted the group chat:
Shuhua: "I win. First here. Don't leave me hanging."
It wasn't long before the door opened again.
Soojin walked in, elegant and reserved, wearing a long coat with her hair tucked neatly behind her ears.
Shuhua blinked. "You look like someone who charges for her time in minutes."
Soojin smiled slightly as she shrugged off her coat. "Maybe I do."
They stared at each other for a beat too long before Shuhua reached for her drink to hide her sudden nerves.
"You haven't changed," Soojin said, sliding into the seat across from her.
"You did," Shuhua replied. "In a hot, terrifying CEO way."
Soojin laughed-just barely. "Well. You still don't filter your thoughts."
Shuhua tilted her head. "Would you want me to?"
"No," Soojin said. Quietly. Almost to herself.
Miyeon, Yuqi, Minnie, and Soyeon arrived in a flurry of hugs, squeals, and "Oh my god, your hair!" chaos.
It didn't take long for the café to echo with laughter again. They joked. Teased. Passed around photos. Confessed embarrassing memories. Everything old felt new again.
But beneath it all, Soojin kept stealing glances at Shuhua.
And Shuhua, despite her loud mouth and animated gestures, noticed every single one.
It was Minnie who broke the moment.
"I want to show you something," she said quietly, opening her sketchbook.
The drawing inside showed the six of them. Sitting exactly like this. Wearing the same clothes. Same expressions. Down to the spilled coffee on Yuqi's sleeve.
