"Uhh..Edna?"

Edna looked up from the countertop of their kitchen counter, dropping the knife and placing it onto the board. "Yes, Ed?" She called back, walking over to where her husband was, wondering what was going on.

Once she got to where he was, he was gesturing to two other adults, younger than them, however still a bit old. One had long blonde hair, with sapphire blue eyes that twinkled with worry and fear.

The other one had black hair with little spots of brown here and there, a black moustache and was holding the woman's hair. He had soft green eyes with were coated in guilt and his own fear..which meant someone went completely back on their most famous movie quote.

Libby and Cliff Gordon.

The birth parents of Jay.

"A-Aren't you-"

"Yes. We're Jay's parents."

Ed and Edna would never admit this of course, but if they have the audacity to say "We're Jay's parents" after doing..nothing for him, then they must be completely insane.

The brown haired woman shook her head, snapping herself out of that thought and put a quick and welcoming smile on her face. "Oh, do come in. It is cold outside. I'll put the kettle on." She wandered off back to the kitchen, leaving Ed to guide them to the chairs.

After five minutes, Edna came back with two glasses of tea. She set them down on the table in front of the younger couple and smiled as they thanked her.

But they weren't here for tea and biscuits.

Somethings up.

"May I ask, if it's not rude of course..what does bring you here?" Edna asked and nicely as possible. She never liked getting into others people's business. Well, not people she doesn't know of anyway. Jay is another story. And she's guessing that who they came to talk about.

Libby nodded and sighed shakily. Cliff gently stroked her knuckles, hoping it'll calm her messed up nerves.

"W-We're here about Jay, and-"

Before she could finish, Ed spoke up. "Jay? Our son?"

The blonde and and the black haired narrowed their eyes in confusion and nodded shakily. The grey hairs rolled their eyes mentally. Yes, they were his parents.

Cliff sighed shakily, knowing this would turn into a conversation about Jay even if there's more pressing matters they came about.

"Look, we can't explain at the moment-"

And again, Ed spoke up. "Why don't you want to? Are you just 'guilty' that you left him on a stormy, windy and cold night on a doorstep to get ill the day after?" His voice had a sharp tone in it.

Edna was shocked. "No Ed, don't say that-"

"Isn't it true? I don't know what went through your mind to leave a nine day old out on a doorstep, crying their eyes out because they miss their 'parents' touch!"

Everyone else in the room was shocked, and Libby finally spoke up. "We had to, we had no choice."

Ed snapped back. "We? My son was that you, Cliff, were dead! Or was it just a stunt to get out of the popularity, that consumed you o leave your kid?!"

Cliff groaned. "It wasn't like that!"

Edna finally spoke up. "T-Then..what was it?" She mumbled. She really wanted to know why this was happening, it was getting stressful for her.

Libby couldn't even consider what she was going to say before Ed was showing them out. They stumbled down the three steps as they looked up at the elderly male.

"You're not Jay's parents, you will never be his parents. We're his parents. We gave him a roof over his bed, we taught him how to get dressed, we taught him how to count to ten, we taught him how to walk, we helped him with his homework. You did none of that. Just because you gave birth to him doesn't make you a real parent. You're just a sorry excuse for one that ran away with her liar of a husband and dropped their son off on a extremely rainy and cold night just to get more fame, money and even enjoyment. You make me sick. Now, good day."

The door shut on them.
