Secrets Untold (Kai and Jay)

"Jay, she's been like this since 2nd grade." Kai sighs. The other 16 year old male looked at the brunette with shocked eyes.

He swallowed hard, trying to get the lump of sympathy out of his throat while he looked over at the black-haired girl, who was sitting down in the library reading something of her interests.

She seemed calm enough, and okay with being alone. Like a lonely ant, but the only thing that stopped them from being exactly alike was the appearance. Nya, (To Jay anyway) was the most stunning girl not just in the entire school, but the entire world. Every time she walked back the freckled boy his cheats heated up like a kettle and he felt his speech motors give up on him. He loved her, even though they had never talked.

They're in a few classes together; Computer science, Engineering and Maths. Jay adores these three subjects, and by the looks of how much Nya notes down every lesson he can tell that even if she doesn't show it, she loves it too.

But..what does Kai mean by: "She's been like this since the second grade."? Was she okay? Heck, she's always kept to herself and stayed quiet? There has to be a reason, because if she was naturally quite quiet and like being alone then it wouldn't be a problem, but since she became like this in the second grade, something must've happened.

"What do you mean?" Jay replied after a few moments of long and hard thinking. His eyebrow was raised in a concerned look while his eyes showed confusion and sympathy.

Kai sighed next to him as he buried his face into his hands for a few moments and sighed. The tone of it seemed..miserable and sad. As if he was about to tell Jay something that hit him hard.

His eyes were now watery as he couldn't keep still anymore. Jay felt as if someone was banging on his heart, making it beat faster and faster while he waited impatiently for the answer. What if it was something really bad? What if that's not even Nya?

The make wearing blue quickly shook his head and took deep breaths, reminding himself that the latter part of the questions would not be true and that he shouldn't rush Kai with his panicking.

Speaking of Kai, he looked up and saw the brunette looking over at his little sister with a guilty and shameful look in his eyes.

"My parents are dead. And our headteacher killed them."
