The wind picked up, and the girl unfortunate enough to be out when it became chilly shivered and folded her arms. She took her hair out and wrapped the tie around her wrist, hoping that the action may give some extra warmth to her now cold body.
It wasn't fun being out in the cold on a summers evening, however after finally being let out at this time after years of begging, she happily took the chance and ventured out to find food for supper.
Today was meant to be a fish-themed meal, however the girl may have to scrap the idea of that unless she found some fishing rods soon. The sun had halfway set and if she didn't get anything before the final ray of light faded away then she along with her brother would unfortunately have to go hungry for the night and hope the best for breakfast, as she hadn't been able to convince her older brother to let her stay out for longer. Well, not yet anyway.
"Why is it so hard to find a simple fishing rod? Does the world want me to starve?" She mumbles to herself, kicking a stone gently and watching it dig into the sand.
She looked back up from staring at the soft yet annoying ground below her and glanced around for a few minutes. She felt strange. It seemed like something was off around here, however she could not put her finger on what. At first, she suspected it was a group of Hydro creatures roaming around, so she had pulled out her little pointy swords and held them in a on guard-like stance.
However, while her poor vision (even poorer now as it was night) checked around the area again, she noticed something that immediately caused her to run over and kneel down.
It was a unconscious (yet alive) body. Their eyes were closed and their mouth was only slightly agape.
A lost traveller.
The girl gasps and palms his face gently before leaning her ears down to his mouth and checking that there's still a pulse. Luckily, there was. However she wouldn't be able to tell any further damage out here. She'll have to head over to the Grand Sensei's assistance, Misako.
"Well, I guess there's no dinner for us today. Well, at least they'll be something..well, a lecture." The voice of the girl says, before she lifts the strange freckles boy into her arms and standing up carefully. For someone quite tall, he was relatively light and it made the journey to the Jade City's Knight Headquarters seemingly easy and surprisingly quite quick.
However, on her way there, she could feel his body slightly moving around. As she was focusing on the roads and not the body that was laying in her arms. She's thankful he was alive, as she hated dealing with dead bodies. For one, it would take ages for any medical team to come out at this time, and she would've been left with a rotting corpse. Oh, and secondly, they made her feel sick, however since she was now relatively used to them, it only made her feel. little queasy inside.
She had to be quick, or she'll soon be surrounded by the Knights of Jadia that her brother would've sent out for her.
Lucky for her, she could see the Headquarters of The Knights of Jadia right now, and all she had left to do was make it up the stairs and hope for the best that her Grand Sensei and his assistant were still working there.
Knock, Knock, Knock.
A few moments later, the doors were opened by a familiar high level knight that Nya knew all to well.
"Ah, Nya. You..have a body in your arms." The man says, gesturing to the said body and looking back at the girl with a hint of fear in his eyes and a look of confusion in his face.
The girl named Nya nods, then looks down at the freckled traveller in her arms and then gently loved his curled/wavy hair out of his eyes. "No Ronin, I didn't kill him, and no, he isn't dead. He's a lost traveller I found while trying to get some fish. He's definitely taken some blows due to the water though." She explains.
Ronin smirks and leans against the door. "You sure you didn't hurt him out of anger because you couldn't find any fish?" He taunts her, flicking the toothpick he once had in his mouth straight out of his hands and then flying somewhere completely random.
Nya sighs and kicks the other door open again, pushing past the knight and glaring at him while she walked past.
"Bye then."
"Sometimes I wish you could go back to pickpocketing."
~~~
Down the corridor Nya went, and after a few more minutes of slow walking (due to the extra weight she had to carry) she reached the door where Grand Sensei Wu would be, hopefully along with Assistant Misako.
Knock, Knock, Knock.
The door was immediately open, and Misako looked down at the body without even a greeting. She stared for a few seconds before swallowing.
"What happened?"
~~~
I may return to this idea. idk
