"Why?" (Kai, Ray and Maya)

A four year old Kai, awake at 4am in the morning stumbled into his parents bedroom, plushie in hand and very messy hair.

He walked up to his parents' bed and tried to wake them up.

And eventually they sucseeded.

Maya rubbbed her eyes and turned the lamp on, which was on her beside table, and then sighed. Ray ruffled his hair before propping himself up on his elbow and looking at his son.

"It is 4am, if I'm not dreaming right now I'm gonna lose my goddamn mind." The woman mumbled.

Kai looked at the two with hope in his eyes. "..Where did I come from?"

The married couple immediatley looked at eachother with blushing and tired faces.

"Oh my god-..you came from mommy's tummy." Ray said to him, slightly stretching.

Kai tilted his head. "But why?"

Maya pinched her nose. "Becuase that's where you were made." She states.

"But why?" He asked again.

"Cause mommy and daddy love each other and we wanted a baby, so we had you and your little sister." The former master of water replied.

The toddler scratched his head. "Otay but why?"

The older male in the room flopped onto his back. "Just because."

"Becuase why?"

Maya looked at the clock again and then out the window. "You're really making me question my life decisions right now..at 4am?" She exhaled. "Really? Just because honey..I.."

"..Because why?"

Defeated, the married couple looked at each other and nodded, having the same idea.

"Okay, I'm dropping you and your sister off at grandma's today."
