Cries (Ray x Maya)

From the day they were both taken away, it had been so hard.

The same day they last saw they're wonderful children was the same day a hammer was forced into their hands, forced to work.

It wasn't even for their kids, it was for the opposing side. They were taken away for no reason, and they could only hope that one day someone would find them and take them back to their young kids. Their young, scared, and vunerable kids.

They're villiage was safe, (the town having low crime rates) however there are still some dodgy people around, some people who would take pleasure in takng kids. It's a thought that no parent would ever have to worry about.

If all this was to protect them, though, why leave them alone?

It was a curse that they haven't been able to escape yet. Where they're now forced to live is dark, damp and isolated away from anyone finding them.

And now, it's the fourth day in a row of them being stuck here; and that could soon changes to weeks, months, years and eventually until they die. It was scary to think about, and it had almost caused them to nstay up. However, even then, they don't get to seep much at all. Reducing from 8 hours to 6, it was exhausting.

At least they're bed was comfortable enough to help them sleep. But even then, you could garantee that it wouldn't be very peaceful.

It was 3am in the morning, as the only thing that the woman could hear was the dead silence throughout the miles of emptiness that surrounded them, making her feel extremely lonely, even if her husband was laying beside her.

But for some reasonm she could not be sleeping as peacefully as he was. She doesn't know what it is, but somethings is keeping her awake and very paranoid. It's like there is something trying to keep her awake, wether it be audible or visible, it was already starting to annoy her.

Until she heard something.

"I want them back! I want mommy and daddy back!"

Was that Nya..?

There's no way she's believing that's fake.

"Me too little sis, m-me too.."

That's her kids' voices. They're crying for them to come back, at this time. It's 3am in the morning, they should have been asleep more than seven hours ago. But no, because of someone, they're up at this hour, begging for them.

But if she can hear them, then..

The previous elemental maste of water swiftly pulled the covers off her and ran downstairs and outside, not caring about the poruing downfall that added onto the cold night. She didn't care if she was caught, if her kids were close to her, she'll happily pick them up, give them warmth and food and take them back to her partner, so they can finally be happy again.

"I WANT MOMMY AND DADDY!"

Tears filled her eyes when she heard her daughter cry out loud again, presumably to her son, aka her big brother, not knowing that she's coming to cardle them again.

"I'm coming you two, I promise-"

"Maya?" Ray called out from the doorway of their 'new home'. He looked tired, ruffling his hair while looking at his wife, very confused. "Hon, what are you doing? C'mere." He said, grabbing her hands when Maya did walk over to him.

"I heard them." She stated, out of the blue. The male raised an eyebrow, wondering what the hell she was on about, especially at this time. They had to be awake in three hours, and yhey were designing something very..significant. They weren't told what, but it was support to be very complex.

"Heard who?" Ray replied with a question.

Maya pointed out into the swamp. "Kai and Nya, they're crying for us." She said, starting to panic as she realised that she's doing nothing to help them here, she needs to go and find them.

"Maya.." Ray sighed, pulling her back into their home, then grabbed a thin blanket for her and wrapped it around his wife, before helping her upstairs and back to their bed. "Look, our kids are far away from us. They..they think we've passed. They'll never come, and even then, they're both way too young. It would be dangerous." He explained, a great chunk of sadness filling the air.

They both felt tears fill their eyes and realise that they'll most likely never see they're kids again.
