Chapter 4

Knockout sat on a crate, Ratchet made sure no one went near him unless it was it was him or Optimus. Arcee seemed to hate the medic and the sparkling. They all thought Jack was created by both mechs and born into the world. Knockout couldn't believe they fell for the lie.

Optimus walked over and kneeled in front of the medic. Giving Jack a gentle kind smile, then looked to Knockout.

"Do you require energon?" He asked.

"No...I'm fine, Until this little mech needs feeding again I'll be fine" Knockout said.

"I don't believe you've told us his name yet" Optimus said.

"Uh....I didn't think you'd want to know" Knockout said shyly.

"Does he have a name?" Ratchet asked coming over.

"Of course he does!" Knockout frowned.

"Then What is it?" Ratchet asked.

"......Sigh....it's Jackstar...." Knockout said.

"Jackstar?" Both mechs asked.

"I Uh realized Jack was a nice name and I put it in front of star...hence Jackstar" Knockout said.

"That is a fine name for the young mech" Ratchet said with a smile he petted Jacks helm.

"Thank you..uh..I think it's time for his stasis nap" Knockout said.

"Ah yes yes, come I'll make sure my door to my quarters are locked" Ratchet said walking with Knockout.

Knockout looked down, unsure why Ratchet kept him in his room with him. As the two entered the room Knockout looked up.

Ratchet fixed up the berth and got a spot ready for Jack. Knockout placed him down and sat beside him, rubbing circles on Jacks back.

"Why?" Knockout asked.

"Why what?" Ratchet asked.

"Why do you keep me in here with you?" Knockout asked.

"Only way to make sure Arcee doesn't try anything, you stay safe. I can keep an optic on both of you" Ratchet said.

"...I know Arcee is angry, because Starscream is Jackstars sire...but...one way of helping us is letting us go" Knockout said.

"You know he doesn't belong on the ship Knockout, stay here" Ratchet said.

"I'm sorry...without screamer I can't stay anywhere else" Knockout smiled sadly.

Ratchet sighed and rubbed his helm, looking at Knockout then to the sparkling who was deep in recharge. A small smile made its way to his face.

"I'll talk to Optimus, see if I can take you back tomorrow" Ratchet said.

"Thank you Ratchet...you know I sometimes wish I was here first, but I wasn't Breakdown and I joined them in fear of dying...it's to late to change now" Knockout laid down curling around his child.

"It's never to late to change" Ratchet said leaving.

(Time skip)

Knockout was on his side, watching his little angel who was still In recharge. The mechs optics started to grow heavy. I'm no time he to was In recharge. Knockout had been reading for a bit but got bored of it, Jack rolled into his side his tiny servo on Knockouts.

Ratchet came in to check on the two, smiling when he saw the new as humans called them mother and baby sleeping soundly. He walked up to the berth and took the blanket and covered Knockout, patting his shoulder lightly.

"Mmm Starscream" Knockout moaned in his recharge.

"....Soon Knockout, you'll be with your mate soon" Ratchet frowned.

(Next day)

Knockout stood beside the prime as Ratchet put in the coordinates to meet Megatron and Starscream. Both autobots went through the ground bridge with the young medic. Knockout held Jack close to his chest plates, once in a rocky gorge Knockout smiled to see Starscream.

"Star!" He beamed running out to him.

"Knockout!" The seeker smiled also running out grabbing him in a hug.

Megatron huffed, but ignored them. His focus on the autobots. He walked out and lightly pushed the two back behind him.

"How kind of you to return our young medic and his offspring" Megatron sneered.

"It's only right to return the the sparkling and his carrier to sire" Optimus said.

"What!?" Starscream exclaimed.

"Don't you remember?" Knockout frowned elbowing the seeker in the side.

"Ah yes Uh right, thank you" Starscream said.

As Megatron lead the two back through their ground bridge, he looked back and huffed once more. Once their bridge closed bumblebee sent the two their way home.

On the ship Knockout was explaining the small lie he told to keep Jack safe. And to his surprise the seeker didn't seem mad. He was a little happy to know Knockout trusted him enough to help protect and hold a the title to the young one.

Knockout gave Starscream Jack to hold, and Jack surprised them both when he cuddled up to the seeker. Knockout nearly died from the cuteness as Starscream was frozen.

"He likes you" knockout cooed.

"It would seem so" Starscream smiled.
