Chapter 18

We ended up staying the night at the warehouse.

How did I know? When I woke up, I found myself still squished beside Matt.

Mike must've saw me asleep and allowed us to stay the night. He closes the warehouse at around 2 a.m so that he could go home and rest. Sooner or later, that guy would have to inform his parents about his whereabouts.

I decided to wake Matt up, because I could feel my stomach complaining for some food. Speaking of which, my stomach didn't hurt as much as the night before. I felt my stomach for the pack of now melted ice and threw it across Matt and onto the ground.

Since our faces were only inches apart, I placed my lips on his and began kissing him. After a few seconds, his lips began to respond and kiss me back. Our lips moved in synchronization, and they fit perfectly like we were made to be together. Matt pulled me closer, if it was even possible, and there was barely any spaces in between us. Our legs tangled with one another as my hands went to his hair and neck.

We pulled away after what seemed like hours, the both of us panting.

''Well, that was a good way to start the morning,'' Matt said huskily, voice still thick with sleep. Damn, he sounds so sexy.

A thought ran through my head and I found myself covering my mouth in embarrassment. Matt raised an eyebrow questioningly.

''Morning breath,'' I mumbled, though it came out quite muffled.

He chuckled in response and stood up. Before he could help me up though, there was a sound of water splashing. It was then I realised Matt must have stepped on the pack of melted ice which I had thrown on the floor.

''Oh, dang it,'' Matt muttered, inspecting his now wet shoe.

For some reason, I found this amusing and burst out laughing. He narrowed his eyes playfully before carrying me and throwing me over his shoulder.

I sucked in a breath as my stomach hit his shoulder hard, and Matt hastily placed me back on the sofa.

''Shit, sorry!'' Matt exclaimed, sounding genuinely concerned and sorry.

He looked like a sad and lost puppy that I just had to forgive him. I plastered on a small smile and shook my head, telling him a sorry wasn't necessary.

''Nah, it's fine,'' I told him.

''I'm really am so sorry,'' he insisted. ''Let's go to the bathroom here. Mike showed me yesterday when you fell asleep. It's really clean.''

My eyebrows rose. Since when had Mike built a bathroom? And this nice, might I add? I thought as I followed him into the spacious room.

The bathroom was for a person at a time, and it was bigger than the bathroom back at home. I assumed it was there in case he decided to stay overnight or something. Either way, I was glad it was there. Right now I could use some cold shower to numb the pain on my stomach, and to brush my teeth.

''Mike told me we could use the shower and the spare toothbrushes,'' Matt told me.

I went straight for the toothbrushes still unopened under the sink. Matt chuckled, knowing fully well that I wanted to get rid of my morning breath.

After brushing my teeth for a solid five minutes, I was satisfied to taste the minty-ness of the toothpaste.

I turned back to Matt and spoke, ''I'm just gonna go home and take a shower. Besides, I have no spare clothes.''

He agreed and we went back to my home.

No words could describe how angry and worried Dad was when we reached. I understood that there was school today, but only just realised. I smiled sheepishly at him.
