Dominique's
University meet.
The long wait has finally over.
It is the most awaited day for the students of the universities because this is where they'll watch different university playing different sports. Is is like a Division meet of High Schools.
I woke up that day, earlier than usual because we need to be in our university as early as possible. I arrived at the university before the clock strike at seven. The dean assigned our department to be in charge with the registration since the meet will be held in our Uni.
Ilang minuto lang naman matapos naming iayos ang lahat ng aming gagamitin para sa pagapapatala ay nagsidatingan na ang ilang mga estudyanteng magrerepresenta ng kani-kanilang mga Unibersidad.
Matapos makapagpatalabang lahat ng mga manlalaro ay nagtungo na kami sa aming opisina para naman makitulong sa ibang mga departamento sa kani-kaniya nilang mga ginagawa.
We readied all the things that will be needed in he opening ceremony which will take place at exactly 10 in the morning. We still have 30 minutes to go since my wrist watch says the time is 9:30.
I was busy arranging papers when a hand tapped my shoulder. I look at the owner of the hand and found out it's Darelle. I automatically smiled.
"Hey, would you mind eating breakfast with me, in the cafeteria? I forgot to have my breakfast because our coach told us to he here even before the sunrise," He said.
"Sure, I don't mind. Come on, I'm really not needed in here. My work's already done, and I'm just here to help them. What do you want to eat?" I asked him, still flashing a wide smile. This man is really handsome. How can a man be this handsome? I mean, he's just wearing a white shirt and a jogging pants, paired with a sneakers.
"Let's see what's available there," he answered. Inalalayan niya akong tumayo mula sa pagkakasalampak sa sahig at hinila na ako patungo sa kantina.
Ilang saglit lang din naman ay nakarating na kami roon. Sinabihan niya akong humanap na ng mauupuan at siya na ang bibili ng pagkain para sa amin.
He ordered 2 Fried rice with beef and egg omelette, he just paired it with strawberry flavored yogurt milk since it's my favorite drink.
"How's your sleep? Did you sleep well?" He asked me while we're eating.
I looked at him. "Yeah, I always do. How about you?"
"Nah."
"Why? What's wrong?"
"I'm feeling nervous." He confessed. I laughed softly then held his hand.
"I know, you can do it. Okay, let's make a deal. If ever you will win, I'll reward you." Bigla namang nagbago ang ekspresyon ng mukha niya. I saw desire flashed through his eyes. Siraulo talaga.
"Really? Are you sure, huwag mo akong paasahin, love." Naniniguradong aniya.
"Oo nga sabi, kaya galingan mo."
"Of course! I will. Ako pa ba?" Nagmamayabang niyang saad.
Tinawanan ko naman siya. "Ang yabang neto, parang kanina lang kabang-kaba ka ah."
Tumawa na lang din siya. "Kanina 'yon, syempre may inspirasyon na ako ngayon. Our deal made me motivated." He licked his lower lip. Panigurado iba naiisip ng loko na ito.
"Hoy! Hindi ang iniisip mo ang klase ng reward na iniisip ko ah! Huwag mo akong manyakin." Saad ko, he grinned.
"Bakit? Ano ba sa tingin mo ang iniisip ko?" He asked me, natigilan naman ako dahil doon. Oo nga naman kasi, hindi ko naman alam kung ano ang iniiisip niya. My god, Dominique! Nagiging manyak ka na rin.
