When I sat down Kuroos grandma set down two plates of eggs and bacon and for me and him. The aroma of the food was so good, his grandmas cooking never failed to amaze me. I've had breakfast with Kuroo a couple of times, but this was new as we were now together. "Aw how is our little Kenma doing." She smiled at me, she looked a little like Kuroo she had black and gray hair and his hazel eyes. She was a short lady, around 4;11 but despite her old age and height she was young at heart and had a lot of energy.
"I'm doing fine, how is grandpa doing?" I asked. "Our Kenma is as polite as ever, I hope Kuroo will find a wife after highschool just like you. Also grandpas doing just fine, he has a harder time remembering things and sometimes gets confused but other than that he's quite alright." "Well, I'm glad he doing ok." My voice muffled because my mouth was stuffed with food. "Oh also Kuroo you have a doctors appointment tomorrow." I guess my anxiety after hearing this showed on my face so Kuroos grandma reassured me, "Oh don't worry Kenma it's just a yearly checkup, nothing bad." She smiles at me, immediately all of my anxiety washed away. I felt a wave of relief come over me. I just shook my head and continued eating breakfast.
After 30 minutes of eating and chatting. Kuroo picked up his empty plate and took mine and put them in the sink. "Grandma, me and Kenma need to leave soon or we're gonna be late." "Ok well I hope you two have a nice day," she replied with a smiling face. I just shook my head and waved. Kuroo led me to the door and we walked out. He shut the door and we then walked out of the front gate and headed on the way to school. On the walk to school, Kuroo held my hand tucked in his jacket and we walked shoulder to shoulder so that nobody would notice.
About five minutes into the fifteen-minute walk to school Kuroo looked at me and said: "Pudding-head your really pretty today you know?" My heart fluttered, he must have noticed my reaction because he grinned at me. "You're joking." I murmured under my breath, I swear he always says stuff like that and it embarrasses me so much. "Nope, I'm not joking your really pretty Kenma-Kun. I especially love your long hair, for some reason, I really like long hair." his grin deepens as he said that. "W-Well, I'm glad you like my hair." This was all I could think of to say back. Kuroo squeezed my hand and said "No problem blondie."
"Um we're getting pretty close to the school we should probably let go." I felt a lot of anxiety and looked at Kuroos pocket. "Yeah, we are getting pretty close." He took out our hands and gave mine a quick kiss before letting go and dropping our hands to our sides. We turned right and there it was our highschool, Nekoma High.
