We pulled into the parking lot of the school and saw that it was packed. We searched for a spot to park for a good ten minutes before we finally found somewhere.
Of course, the spot was the furthest away from the school so we had to spend another five minutes just walking to the front gate. Beyond the front gate, people dressed in black graduation gowns and caps were everywhere talking to their loved ones and friends.
I searched the crowd with my mother and father falling closely behind.
I didn't want to text Kuroo because I want to surprise him. I could feel my phone vibrating, it was kuroo calling me. I ignored the call and kept searching until I saw him in the distance standing with his grandparents.
I could see him looking down at his phone waiting for my response.
Everything around us was loud so I was able to sneak up behind him quietly. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see me.
"Kenma!"
He shouted and gave me a big hug.
I returned the hug and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. His grandparents knew and accepted us so it didn't matter who saw it.
We pulled away from the kiss and I handed him the bouquet of flowers. He took the white roses and just looked down at them, a smile grew on his face and he said,
"Thank you."
I nodded and then my mother and father, who was still behind me, came to my side and congratulated Kuroo on graduating.
"We're so proud of you Kuroo!"
My mother squealed while squeezing in a tight hug. She pulled away and my father shook his hand.
My mother exclaimed,
"I almost forgot!"
She handing Kuroo the gift bag and we watched him while he took the bag and opened it.
When he pulled out the handmade chocolates his face lit up in a bright grin.
"Me and Kenma stayed up all night making them for you. We didn't know what else you would want to we decided to make these!"
I shrugged while Kuroo looked at me and I mumbled,
"I only helped a little, it was my mom who did all the work."
"Thank you guys so much!"
And then Kuroo pulled me and my mother into a tight hug.
"So where are you going to college?"
My father asked Kuroo.
"XB college around five miles away"
I knew that he had applied to schools but I was surprised when I found out that he got into such a prestigious college.
"Wow, congratulations!"
My father said.
Kuroo responded,
"Thank you"
Kuroo then turned to me and said,
"Where are you going to apply Kenma? I know you still have another year left but it would be nice if our colleges were close."
I felt embarrassed, I hadn't told Kuroo that I was planning on applying to the same college as him.
"Actually... I was going to apply to XB college, I know I don't have the best grades but I'll try. If we want to live together after all."
Our family already knew about our plans after college so it wasn't a secret we planned on moving in with each other after I graduated.
"Well if that's the case whenever I get time from my classes I'll come over as much as possible and help you study."
"You know you don't have to do that."
"Yeah I know, I just want to."
I blushed
"Okay"
We stayed for an hour while our families talked and then we decided to go out to eat to celebrate the graduation. Dinner took a good two and a half hours before we left, the check piled up too.
We drove to our house and parked the car in the driveway.
Kuroo had ridden home with his grandparents so I left the front gate of my house and met him at the halfway spot in between our houses.
Kuroo held extended arms out to me and I walked to them and hugged him tightly.
"Wanna spend the night tonight?"
He asked.
I nodded,
"Yeah"
