"I'm sorry for not telling you guys."
My mother gleamed at me with a bright smile.
"It's fine, as long as your happy, I'm happy."
Maybe my mother wasn't as bad as I thought her to be. I glanced at Kuroo and saw him smiling at me. I'm glad he's happy too, honestly, I didn't know how he would react but I'm glad he didn't have a negative reaction.
"So how long have you guys been dating for?"
I snapped my neck to face my father. I was surprised usually he never got into anything. I'm guessing he also approved in a subtle way.
Kuroo was the one who answered his question.
"A couple of months."
My mother and father both said in sync,
"Wait really?"
I was shocked at their response so I suddenly asked.
"What do you mean, wait really?"
Both my mother and father started laughing.
"It's just that we thought you guys had been together for way longer than that."
"What would make you think that."
My mom took a fork full of food and bit on it. A minute after chewing she gulped her food, she replied.
"Well ever since you guys were little you were joined at the hip. Your father and I knew it would happen one day just not this late."
I was dumbstruck at this, were my feelings for him this obvious to everyone but myself. It took me years before I could describe the feelings I felt toward him as love.
"I'm just glad you accept us."
This time it was Kuroo saying this.
My mother reached her hand across the table and squeezed his hand to comfort him.
"Of course."
He gave her a warm smile and then turned to me and gave me an even warmer one. I returned the smile to him and that night we ate our food with my family in complete happiness.
It took us around an hour to finish eating, it was getting late so unfortunately, it was time for him to go home.
My mother and father waved goodbye to him.
"I'm going to walk Kuroo home and say bye to him there, be right back."
My mother nodded. I walked out of the door with Kuroo, closing the door silently. We walked down the pathway leading to my front gate holding each other's hand. We walked out of the front gate and a couple of feet down the sidewalk when we reached his front gate.
I looked up at Kuroo and he looked down at me. He leaned down and gave me a sweet kiss, I returned it and we pulled away.
"See you tomorrow."
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow."
He disappeared behind the gate to his house and I turned around and went back to my house.
I walked upstairs to my room and when I reached it threw myself on the bed laying on my stomach and sighed.
What a day...
I was about to drift off to sleep when my phone started to vibrate. I flipped over on my back and lifted it up.
Incoming facetime call from Kuroo.
I accepted the call and smiled at his face when it appeared on the screen.
"I missed you so I wanted to facetime you."
I giggled at him
"It's only been thirty minutes."
Threw the screen he looked embarrassed,
"I know"
"Want to go to sleep on the phone tonight?"
He nodded,
"Yeah...I do."
"Okay, Goodnight Kuroo."
"Goodnight Kenma."
A minute of silence followed and Kuroos voice really broke it,
"I love you."
My heart jumped, and I gleamed.
"I love you too."
