Chapter 32- Six Months

   Six months went by from the time he told me he loved me.
   We didn't end up winning nationals but just being able to play alongside Kuroo was enough for me. He was pretty upset but I comforted him and made sure he was okay.
   Now, it was time for Kuroo to graduate from Nekoma and go to university. I would miss him a lot, but I don't worry about him not wanting me anymore.
   Kuroo has relived all the doubt from my mind that he is as committed to me as I am to him.
   I turned over in my bed rubbing my eyes sleepily, It was the first night I had gotten a full night's sleep in years since I like playing games at night. I moved my fingers away from my eyes and picked up my phone.
   I smiled when the screen lit up revealing a message.

   Kuroo<3
I'm sorry I hung up kenma, I had to get ready and leave. but good morning:) text me when you're on the way to the ceremony, I love you.

  My fingers tapped on the screen

I love you too, and I understand, I'm about to start getting ready :)

   Sent
    I rolled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom.
     I want to look nice today so I'll try.
    I put my hair in its usual middle parting but thankfully it was still perfectly straight from the night before. My mother insisted on straightening it before the graduation ceremony. I thank god she did though because I'm too lazy to do it myself. I wet my toothbrush with water from the sink and squirted some toothpaste on my toothbrush. I scrubbed my teeth making sure they were perfectly clean. After I washed my face with warm water and dried it off with a towel.
   I walked out of my bathroom to my closet and flipped through the hangers of clothes. I found a tight-fitting gray button-up shirt. My mother had bought it for me when we went to a friend's wedding last year. somehow it still fits me.
   I buttoned up the shirt and but on black dress pants and dress shoes. I grabbed my phone and turned the lights off to my room before heading downstairs.
   When I reached the bottom of the stairs I could hear my mother walking around the kitchen, the night before she wanted to make handmade chocolates as a gift to celebrate him graduating. I walked into the kitchen and when my mother saw me her face lit up ran over to me, abandoning the chocolates. She put both of her hands on my shoulders and stood back to look at me,
    "Kenma, you look so nice-"
   I look at her face and saw her choking up trying to hold back tears. It wasn't even me graduating yet she was still crying.
   I was still embarrassed from the praise so I mumbled,
    "Thank you..."
   My mother wiped the tears from her face and gave me and kiss on the cheek before going back to the chocolates and assembling them in the box.
    My father walked out of their bedroom.
   His hair was gelled back and for once he looked like an attractive businessman instead of an introverted librarian.
   He crossed the room and walked into the kitchen giving my mom a quick kiss.
    "You guys almost ready to go?"
   Me and my mother shook our head if sync,
    "Yeah we're ready."
   I looked at the clock on the oven and saw it was two forty-five.
   My mother grabbed the chocolates in one hand and taking my father's in the other and left the house. I was about to leave too when I remembered what I almost forgot, the flowers.
    I went into the living room and grabbed the white roses I had bought the night before. After getting them I left the house and made sure to close the door behind me.
   I walked over to the running car and climbed into the back seat. I buckled my seat belt. My dad pulled out of the driveway and began to drive toward the school.
    I pulled out my phone to shoot Kuroo a text

   Me
We're on the way!

Okay, I'll see you soon <3

   I couldn't help it when I smiled down at my phone. I just could wait to see him and it made me happy that he would text back so quick, it was almost like he waited by his phone just waiting for a text message hoping it was me just like I did him.
