As I headed to where I could see Kuroo loitering at the school's front gate for me I could see he was mumbling something to himself. I wanted to ask him about it when I got to him but whatever it was it seemed like it was bothering him.
Maybe I shouldn't press him for details about it, if he wanted to talk about it he would.
Once Kuroo noticed me walking out of school his face lit up and he grinned at me. I lightly blushed at him and gave him a weak wave then proceeded to walk over to him so we could walk home. When I got by his side he asked me the usual flood of questions.
"How was your day?"
"What did you do?" exedra.
I just gave him vague replies like I often did, my day was boring as always, I was more interested about his day.
I turned and asked him how his day was. Once the question left my lips his body suddenly tensed up, he looked to the side avoiding my eyes for some reason, and simply said,
"It's was fine, I played Volleyball in the gym nothing much."
That was unusual, usually the second you ask Kuroo something he starts gushing and won't stop talking. I mean he isn't as terrible as Oikawa but they do get along for a reason.
The main distinction between him and Oikawa when it came to talking was Oikawa loved to only chat about himself. Kuroo on the other hand spoke about himself but also about extra things he guessed would interest you as well.
I just nodded to Kuroo acknowledging what he said. I decided to wait for a couple of minutes of walking home with him until I would ask him about what Hinata proposed.
After around seven minutes I opened my mouth to speak,
"Kuroo?"
I waited a couple of seconds but it didn't seem like he heard me. I turned my head to look at him and he seemed like he was deep in thought.
Hmmm, I wonder what was bothering him so much.
I slipped my DS in my pocket and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Kuroo?"
He snapped his head up to look at me, it seemed like I scared him. He rubbed the back of his neck,
"Oh sorry Kenma, I didn't hear you."
I shrugged my shoulders,
"It's fine, anyway I have to ask you something."
Kuroo smiled a weak smile at me,
"Sure whatcha want?"
I thought for about it second, what I was going to ask him wasn't a bad thing, if anything it was fun but he just seemed in a bad mood.
"So I got a text from Hinata-"
I looked up and he was nodding his head,
"- and he suggested we play a game together this weekend and the joint practice."
I let it sink in for a minute and Kuroo raised an eyebrow in my direction.
"What kinda game, because I'm sure you're not talking about Volleyball."
A soft giggle reunited through my lips.
"Obviously, Hinata said those other guys on his team were dating and he wants to make it into a game to see if we can guess who's dating correctly."
While watching Kuroo absorb what I said he smiled an evil grin at me,
"Hell yeah I'm in."
When Kuroo got like this I couldn't help but laugh, he was too funny and cute at moments like these.
"Well, you got any theory's on whose dating before the practice?"
He thought about it for a second and started spilling out his theory's.
"Okay, it's so obvious that Yamaguchi and Tsukishima are together. Even a blind person could see that."
He paused for a minute with the same grin on his face and continued.
"Possibly Daichi and Sugawara, they obviously like each other it's just if they aren't already dating it would be because they are both too shy to confess to one another."
Nodding thoughtfully I agreed with Kuroo, obviously, he noticed things faster than I did.
"Well looks like we'll find out this weekend!"
Kuroo nodded,
" Yeah looks like we will."
On the walk home I completely forgot that something was bothering Kuroo.
