OC shipping + why I'm not a fan.

This is a special segment dedicated to all the narcissists, twelve year olds, fluff seeking writers, and historians, who enjoy shipping characters of their own with the canon cast.

Sometimes OC shipping is cute, it has potential, but, sometimes it gets very.....out of hand. I understand if the character has had historical relations with the oc, but why when they're not? Sometimes they don't even have the personality that the other would fancy.  

Second: many people like to make their own countries. While it is fun ofc, they don't seem to read up on the existing ones. I've seen a fruk ton of these, mostly with America, England or Japan, as well as Germany, Prussia and Austria.

And a little story about a story that pertains to that one.

So I read this ff on Wattpad lately who's mc was a fictional country who was China's daughter shipped with Germany. And she was named after an Indian state. Oh wait...THE STATE WAS NAMED AFTER HER. And India was a possesive bish (I mean, he is possessive when it comes to Russia, but not Belarus-style obsessive, unlike in this certain fic.) It also mentioned that Goa was named after said country by India due to a similar standard of beauty and healthcare.

Which is wrong in two ways. 

The Indian name for Goa directly after Liberation (yes, we got freedom later than the rest of India) in Marathi was Gomantak. Goa was the Portuguese name, which was also carried over to English. गोंय (Goem, Goy) is the Konkani name. So technically, Portugal named her, not India. 

And, healthcare? You looking for healthcare in one of the dumbest states when it comes down to it? Like we had a memefest last month bc apparently 'Goans have strong immunity compared to the rest, so don't worry.' -le chief minister of Goa, who also has a doctorate, btw. And if you catch the virus, you will probably need to either go to a public hospital (which are full) or pay around 100$ (10,000 inr) per day, that too just for the bed.

Yeah, it's a scam, huh? Plus there's a drug mafia thing going on here rn too, it's all over Indian news, wonder how healthy that is lol.

Now to a little review of certain ships.

Tanzania x Germany: idk how this came into being, but the story isn't that bad. Props to @APH_Prussia for that I guess.

Phillipines x Japan: Kinda problematic imo. You know, WW2? Ironically, most of the writers are from the Phillipines. Stop being weebs y'all. (And why do I see so many aph Phillipines fics? Some canon characters don't even get that many)

India x Pakistan: WHY? No hate to Pakistanis, but I feel uncomfortable. Kinda because if Pakistan was canon, he would have probably been India's son? Or brother? And Bangladesh would have a similar relationship? Historically incest, nope, no from me.
