Chapter 30: The Wedding

I spend the rest of the night planning the wedding. I wake up my friends at 6:00 AM.

"What is it, Bella," Daph moans.

"Wake up. I'm marrying Cal tonight."

"What?" That woke her up.

"I need your help with my dress." She gets up. I love how she doesn't question it.

I go on to Blaise and Dray. "Guys, wake up."

"Bells, it's 6 AM. Let us sleep." Blaise commands. I roll my eyes.

"I need you guys. I'm marrying him tonight."

"You WHAT?" Dray says. I laugh.

"I love him. I don't want to wait. I need you guys to help decorate." They get up. We spend the first half of the day decorating and Daph picks out my dress. I go to the Dungeon and to Uncle Remus's office to gather them both. "Okay, guys. Don't freak out. But I'm marrying Cal tonight."

"WHAT?" They yell at the same time.

"No, you're too young," Dad protests. I look at Uncle Remus. He nods. I sigh.

"The Dark Lord came to me in a dream." They both look up, "telling me I'll come when the time is right. I don't think it was just a dream. Look, I'm not joining him without a fight. I need to marry Cal before. In case anything happens. Dad, I want you to walk me down the aisle. Uncle Remus, I want you to be the officiant. Please."

"Fine," Uncle Remus agrees. I look at dad.

"Nothing's going to happen to you."

"It might. You don't know that. Please, Dad."

"Fine." Dad doesn't look at me and I sigh.

We have the ceremony in the hall. We asked Dumbledore and he agreed. We invited all the professors and students. My wedding dress is perfect. I'm not even nervous. I can't wait to start this ceremony. "you nervous?" Daph asks.

"Not at all." I start walking the aisle. Cal has tears in his eyes. I look at everyone watching us and give a smile. This is the greatest day of my life. I look at my Dad. "Dad, please forgive me."

"I already did."

"Love you, Dad. I never thought my Dad would be walking me down the aisle. Or that the aisle would be in Hogwarts."

"Me neither." I laugh and join Cal by the altar. 

"Hey."

"Hey." We start reading our vows.

"Bella, this happened a lot earlier than I thought it would. Most people wait at least a couple of years before. We waited a day and in front of all of our Professors and fellow students. I was so shy to talk to you at first, you know? But we made it to each other. There's no one else that I'd want to spend the rest of my life with. I don't know what made you want to do this so soon, but I'm with you for every step. You've got me forever." I start crying. That was so beautiful.

"When I first started here, I was a mess. I wanted to die every night. Thankfully, my friends stopped me from doing that. I faced Lord Voldemort at the end of my first night. Second year, my now friend had tried to kill me twice. That's when I knew I loved you. When I was at Death's feet, I knew my biggest regret. I've never been one to wait. But at every decision I've made, I've had some sort of hesitance. I didn't hesitate this time. That's how I'm sure I want to do this. Can I tell you a secret? You're the only one that I'd have a baby with. I'd do anything for you, babe. I know we didn't have a normal relationship, but is anything normal with me? This is so me. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Tomorrow isn't granted, so why wait? I'll be with you until we have to say goodbye."
