Being stuck in a storm of lighting is not an ideal situation to be in.
But being stuck in a storm of lightning while your beloved wife gave birth to your first child is even worse.
He was chastising himself for going hunting in the rain at this hour for he very well could be missing the birth of his firstborn right at this very moment.
With this thought, he beckons his horse one more time and the horse runs for the red keep, as the soldiers open the gates to the royal palace the young prince jumps off of his horse and bolts to his wife.

Daereon ran with all his might running through the halls of the red keep almost falling on his face as he ran, he finally reaches his chamber where outside stood his younger brothers Rhaegar and Viserys the latter one clutching on to his older brother.

As Daereon was about to enter his chamber the door opens to reveal his brother by law Jamie Lannister standing with his younger brother Tyrion, they were about to say something but he looked behind them into the room where his wife was laying down on the bed unmoving.

Tears welled up in Daereon's eyes but then Cersei called out to him.
"Thank the gods you are here come sit beside Cerelle she wanted to wait until you were here." Daereon's eyes grew wider as his beautiful wife opened her eyes and called him forth.

Daereon was holding on to his wife's hand as she pushed and pushed and pushed once more trying to bring his firstborn to life.

The screams could be heard outside the big room where Daereon's younger siblings stood praying to the gods for there sister by law and for the new niece or nephew to be born into the family.

"She is in pain brother" 5 years old Viserys cried in his brother Rhaegar's legs.

"I know little brother it is quite sad, but once the pain goes away we will have a little niece or a nephew to play with". Rhaegar explained to his younger brother.

Besides young Viserys and his brother Rhaegar stood Jamie, Cersei, and Tyrion Lannister, brothers and sister to their sister by law Cerelle Lannister.

It was not an ideal night for a life to come out into the world, a crazy storm outside, lighting striking the red keep repeatedly, and now the wind had broken a windowpane and the lamps around the room were threatening to light everything on fire.

Daereon wanted to get up and do something about it but feared leaving his wife's hand as if it would mean that she has his permission to go from this world, so he stood his ground beside her, anyways fire can not kill a dragon he thought and his wife was just as much a dragon as the child growing inside of her.

"You are afraid," Cerelle said out loud shocking Daereon.

"What would I be afraid of". Daereon questions.
