Present (KTH POV)
"Make yourself comfortable. I know it's late, but do you want to have some milk?" Dae Shin asked. "Yeah, thanks hyung" Taehyung smiled at him. He looked at Jungkook's house from the window in the living room.
He sighed. He started to feel that the whole thing was just wrong. He should have just had an open talk with Jungkook instead of trying to make him panic the way he was surely going to.
He decided to stop and greet Jihyo the next morning before leaving.
Little did he know that he was never going to leave the den ever again.
Not when his boyfriend and everyone else believed that he was dead.
Not when he had written his own suicide letter.
"Here" Dae Shin said, handing him a glass of milk. "Do you want some pajamas?" he asked after Taehyung finished drinking the milk. "Yeah" Taehyung smiled again. He walked to the guest room with the pajamas that Dae Shin handed to him.
Dae Shin was indeed a caring guy.
But weirdly, he couldn't get his hands to co-ordinate enough to pull the zipper of his jeans down. He grunted as he tried harder. But no matter how much he tried, he just couldn't do it. His hands felt more and more heavy with every passing second.
After a few seconds, his knees buckled and he fell to the floor. 'What the h-hell is happening to me? Did I-I have......too much to d-drink or something?........B-But I drank only.........one bottle' he thought as he tried once again.
'U-Ugh......wh-what's...hap...happe-' he passed out on the floor before he could even complete his thought.
The next time he woke up, he found himself in a window-less room. He tried to get up, only to realize that his hands and legs were tied to the bed he was lying on with huge chains.
"What the hell???" he tried to shout, but his voice came out in a broken whisper.
He looked around again. The room felt extremely stuffy, as if it was underground. Maybe it was just him.
He struggled against the chains. "WHO'S THERE???" he tried to yell, but once again, his voice came out in a whisper. "WHO IS THERE???" he whisper-yelled again.
He had no idea if it was day or night. He had no idea where he was. He had no idea how he was at this place.
He tried hard to recall the last incident that he could remember.
"Teach him a lesson...."
"Don't look for me. Goodbye....."
"Do you want some milk...."He remembered how fuzzy and disoriented he had felt after having the milk.
'Oh my god, Kookie was right. Shinie hyung really did go crazy. Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, what do I do? Oh my god' he thought as he struggled against the chains.
He remembered what Jungkook had told him about Dae Shin. He just thought Jungkook was exaggerating. Jungkook had told him how Dae Shin had slowly gone completely crazy after Taehyung moved to Seoul.
Even though it wasn't obvious to on-lookers, people who actually knew Dae Shin could tell that he had lost it.
He cursed himself for not believing Jungkook.
But that was not the problem. He had to get out.
He had to get out of there asap!!
But he had no idea how.
He snapped his head towards the faint sound of wood springing up. He listened carefully to the footsteps entering the room. It sounded as if the footsteps were climbing down a few stairs.
"Hello, cutie" (Does it ring a bell?)
His eyes widened. It really was Dae Shin. A small part of him still wanted Jungkook to be wrong. This was the person they had all played and grown up together with. He just didn't want to believe that he could do something like this.
And a not so small part of him hoped he got kidnapped on his way back to Seoul. He didn't want to believe that he got kidnapped in Seoul itself without even realizing that Dae Shin was practically kidnapping him.
"Hyung, what the hell?" his voice came out in an angry whisper. "Why are yo-" his voice broke out completely. 'No, no, no, what the hell?!?!? I have a lot more to ask!' he thought as he frantically tried to ask Dae Shin what the hell he was doing.
But his voice just wasn't coming out.
"Don't struggle too much, baby. The drug I gave you does that to your voice. It is so that you don't scream and wake the whole neighbourhood up" Dae Shin said, dragging a chair out of nowhere and sitting down next to the bed with an apple in his hand.
Taehyung groaned and whimpered in shock and terror. His voice came out perfectly well in both of the cases.
'WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE CARING AND LOVELY HYUNG THAT I KNEW?!?!?! I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE, OH MY GOD' his mind screamed at him as he stared at Dae Shin with horrified eyes.
"What?! Don't even think of escaping, baby boy! I know what you are thinking right now. But trust me, I'll make sure you are in no condition to escape from here if I ever catch you trying to escape.
I'll give you enough food to keep you healthy. I need you to be strong enough to bear my strength, after all. But other than that, I'll let you out of your chains only twice a day to clear your bladders. But that is it. If you do something funny, I'll make sure you never leave this place ever" Dae Shin said, taking a bite from the apple.
"Come on, the bathroom is in that corner of the room. I need you to come back in five minutes" he said, unlocking his chains and sitting back on his chair.
Taehyung stood up and immediately realized how jelly his legs felt like. He immediately grasped the corner of the bed to keep his balance. He threw himself to the wall and held on to it as if his life depended on it.
Maybe it did.
With difficulty, he made it to the bathroom. Within five minutes, he was back on the bed.
"I don't have to chain you up. My drug does that work, I guess. I'll chain you up if I need to. Behave yourself over here. I mean it. I will NOT tolerate any funny behaviour" Dae Shin said before walking out the way he came in, leaving him to stare at the ceiling and regret not staying at Seoul and having a talk with Jungkook instead.
