"Kookie, come on!! See, Taehyung is being such a good boy and doing his homework! I will let you play once you are done with your homework" Jihyo said, pushing her seven year old son into the chair of his study table.

"But Eomma! Dae Shin hyung and Seokjin hyung are playing al'eady!" Jungkook whined. "That's because they finished their homework like good boys. Now sit and start writing if you want to go too" Jihyo said.

"Okay" Jungkook said and pouted as he took his small book out. All he had to do was write each word that their teacher gave them five times and do a few addition problems and mug up the names of twenty animals. But that felt like a hell lot of work for his little brain.

Even though Dae Shin and Seokjin were a lot older than him and Taehyung, the two of them let the kids play with them. Seokjin's family had moved into the lane the previous year. Seokjin and Dae Shin were in the same class and became friends soon.

Dae Shin never played with anyone before, but Seokjin got him out of his bubble right after he moved into the lane. The two of them even let the two kids hang out with him when they came to know that all four of them were from the same school. (Their school had primary, middle and high school - all fused into one campus)

"Kookieeeee" he suddenly heard Taehyung and jumped up from his chair, only to be pushed back into it by his mother.

"Kookie didn't finish his homework yet, Tae. Did you finish yours?" Jihyo asked, while Jungkook glared at her from his chair. "Yess!" Taehyung exclaimed, his eyes shining with pride and excitement. The shine increased when Jihyo patted his shoulder and asked Jungkook to learn from him.

"You go and play with your hyungs. Kookie will come when he is done with his homework" Jihyo said, sending a pointed glare at the angry bunny that was putting all of its energy into glaring at her.

"No, Ajeomma!! I'll help him and we'll finish faster and go together" Taehyung said, making Jungkook whip his head towards him and grin at him. "No, Taehyung. Kookie has to do his own homework" she said, making Jungkook get back to glaring at her.

She easily ignored his glare and took Taehyung out of the room. "Kookie, finish fast!!" Taehyung yelled as he ran out of the house, joining Seokjin and Dae Shin in the house beside Dae Shin's villa. The cute house had become the boys' playground after the grandmother had passed away.

Jungkook scribbled as fast as he could, not caring about writing the words on the lines anymore.

He ran to his mother and held his book up for her to check. "Dog, cat, rat, cow, buffalo, pig, ho'se, lion, tiger, rabbit, deer, fox, elephant, hyena, zeb'a, gi'affe, panda, monkey, camel, CHEETAH!!" he said at top speed, counting each animal on his fingers.

"Good. But very bad handwriting, Kookie" Jihyo said. Jungkook scrunched his nose up and began to glare at her once again.

"Okay, okay, go. Come back whe-" he was long gone before she could even complete what she was going to say. She sighed and walked into his room. She put his books out and packed his bag according to the timetable for the next day.

Jungkook ran towards the house diagonally opposite to theirs with a huge grin on his face. "Ohh, Kookie! You finished your homework?" Dae Shin asked. Jungkook nodded with his huge grin still on.

"Okay, then. Let's play catch! Kookie and I on one team, you and Tae on one team" Dae Shin said to Seokjin. "Okaiie!" Seokjin exclaimed and pulled Taehyung towards the other side of the line that they had drawn.

"Yayyyyy!!! Nice catch, Kookie!!" Dae Shin cheered when Jungkook caught wthe ball. "Do you want to let me throw the ball?" he asked. "I will th'ow" Jungkook said. "Okay" Dae Shin said, grinning at the cute kid.

Jungkook threw the ball outside the compound as he couldn't exactly aim properly yet. Dae Shin walked to Jungkook and squeezed his cheeks as Taehyung ran out to get the ball.

"Ollellelle why are you soo cute???" he asked as he pulled Jungkook's face from side to side from cuteness overload. Jungkook just grinned at him once he left his cheeks alone.

After he took a few catches, Dae Shin asked Seokjin to throw one at Jungkook as well. "Okay" Seokjin said, throwing the ball lightly towards Jungkook. But Jungkook missed it and ran behind the rolling ball.

The other three took the time to wipe the sweat of their faces, missing how Jungkook tripped over a stone and fell face first, scratching his body on the hard surface.

They whipped their heads towards him when they heard his howl. He turned back and sat up, cradling his knee as his face twisted up. "Eommmaaaaaa" he cried loudly, mouth open in a scream-sob.

Dae Shin was the first person to run to him. "Get his mother!" he exclaimed, not even sparing a glance at the other two who sprinted towards Jungkook's house.

"Shhh, shh, it's okay, Kookie, shh" he said, putting one of his hands on Jungkook's shoulder and using the other one to wipe his tears gently, avoiding the scratch on his face. "Hyung....it hu'ts" Jungkook wailed, more out of shock than pain, like every other seven year old kid would.

"I know, I know. Ajeomma is coming. Shh, it's okay" he said, leaning forward to place a kiss on his forehead. "Is the pain gone now?" he asked. Jungkook's lower lip trembled as he nodded innocently, trying his best not to burst out again, now that his favourite hyung kissed him on his forehead. (No romantic feelings, guys. You know how kids sometimes look up to a few people)

"Kookie!!!" Jihyo ran into the compound with Seokjin and Taehyung running behind her. Jungkook burst out again. "Eommaaaa, booooo" he wailed.

"Awwww, my baby. Come here, let's go home" she said, picking him up and carrying him back home in her arms.

"It's okay, you kids keep playing. I'll treat his boos" she said, placing a gently kiss on his temple.

"Come on, let's take a bath before treating these boos, okay?" she said after getting into the house and removing his shirt carefully. Jungkook nodded, pouting heavily.

"Awww, my baby, don't pout!! We'll chase these boos away, okay? How dare they hurt my baby?" She said, glaring at his wounds.

Jungkook nodded angrily, angrier at the fact that he couldn't play for long because of these 'boos'.
