Chapter 1. Start the semester right!

"Come on Anya! We have to start the semester right! Aster's party is going to be epic!" Merida whined to one of her roommates. Anya sat up on her bed and glared at Merida from across the room.
"Fineeee!" She gave in. Merida clapped he hands excitedly then stood up and casually strolled over to the bathroom.
"Punze!!" She knocked on the door.
"Yeah?" Rapunzel called from inside.
"Anya agreed!!" Merida announced happily.
"Woo!" Punzie exclaimed excitedly from inside. She unlocked the door and appeared with a wide smile on her face.

Hiccup flipped through the pages of his college guide absorbing majority of the details.
"Really? You're actually reading that?" Jack groaned.
"Yup." Hiccup Replied simply. Just then their roommate Jim hurtled through the door.
"Hey guys, what's up?" He said breathlessly.
"Not much Jimmy boy. Defiantly not much." Jack said sarcastically rolling his head to glare a Hiccup.
"Right. You guys going to Aster's party?" Jim asked before plummeting onto his bed.
"Yeah man." Jack said chilled. Hiccup glanced up at Jim.
"I might if Merida is going." He mumbled shyly. Jim chuckled pulling out his phone.
"Anya just text me. She's going with Mer and Punze." He announced.
"Looks like you're going Hic." Jack smirked. Hiccup sighed and put down the pamphlet he stood up and strolled to the door. Jack watched him curiously before getting up and following him.
"Where ya going Hiccup?" Jack questioned.
"To see my girlfriend." He said quietly.
"Hic," Jack started with concern lacing his voice. "Man what's up? You seem really down recently." Jack asked patting a hand on Hic's shoulder.
"Nothing." He shrugged off the question and hurried down the hallway.

The girls dorm was located next to the boys on a little street in the college campus. A student coffee shop was situated across from the dorms and next to that the library. The actual college buildings was a couple of minutes walk into the centre of the campus. Hiccup exited the boy's dorm block and crossed the small street to the coffee shop. His fiery redhead girlfriend, Merida, was sitting inside patiently. As soon as she saw Hiccup her face brightened.
"Hey Hic!" She hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Hey babe." He said muffled into her shoulder. He kissed her forehead before settling down for coffee.
"So," Merida started, "You goin' to Aster's party?"
"Hm yeah." Hiccup replied.
"What's wrong?" Merida said sternly. She too had noticed his distant behaviour over the past few days.
"Ah it's nothing Mer." He said with a smile. Merida looked him in the eye but was soon entranced by their emerald gleam. She giggled shyly as Hiccup cupped her hands with his.

Jack decided to explore the college campus after Jim had left to help Aster. He strolled down the street and quickly came across the college quad. Several students dotted the benches and grass but Jack didn't really recognise them. Just then he spotted Rapunzel nestled under a tree sketching.
"Hey sunshine." He smirked sitting next to her. Punzie rested her head on Jack's shoulder. She inhaled his musky scent and giggled.
"What's so funny?" Jack asked chuckling.
"You." Punzie continued giggling.
"Is that so?" Jack smirked slyly. Rapunzel nodded laughing to herself but was quickly interrupted by Jack tickling her!
"Jack! Stop!!" Rapunzel squealed, rolling around on the grass. He pulled her over next to him and they laid on the grass tangled together. Jack often admired Rapunzel's beauty but today he was astounded by it. Punzie's long golden locks shimmered in the sun as if it was glowing, her light tan skin looked illuminated and her eyes! They shone like two bright emeralds, glittering in the day light.
"You're so beautiful." Jack marvelled. Gently, he cupped her face with his hands and kissed her tenderly.

"Welcome to the party guys." Aster welcomed Anya and Jim in his thick Australian accent.
"Hey Aster." Anya said with a grin. Hiccup, Merida, Rapunzel and Jack followed behind waving at Aster. The party was in full swing already with the music pumping, college students dancing wildly and drunk people tumbling around. Jack grinned giddily and weaved through the crowds to the drinks table.
"Want to dance with me, Anya?"
Jim asked taking her hands. Anya nodded and they skipped to the dance floor. Merida eyed the partying crowds.
"Who are these people anyway?" Merida yelled over the music. When nobody replied she spun around to find Hic asleep in a booth. "Aw jeez Hic." Merida face palmed and went over to him resting her head on his shoulder.
"Wake up Hic!" She yelled. He awoke startled and dazed.
"Oh sorry Mer, I pulled an all nighter." He mumbled yawning. Merida patted his head sarcastically.
"C'mon, let's go dance!" She pulled him up by his wrists and they joined Rapunzel and Jack on the dance floor.
