Chapter 9. Not gonna loose ya again!

Merida, Punzie, Jack, Jim and Anya crept slowly around the side of Hans' mansion carefully avoiding the security cameras.
"Are we almost there?" Anya hissed from the back.
"Yer..I see the back entrance now but there's guards." Merida replied.
"Can we take them out from behind?" Jack questioned.
"Yeah." Punzie said. "I can take these guys." She smirked. Slowly the blonde tiptoed up to them. Quietly, from behind Rapunzel's back she pulled out a rusted frying pan...then BAMM! She whacked one then the other in what seemed like a split second. The guards slumped forward unconscious.
"Hehehe." Rapunzel chuckled. The friends continued to the back entrance.

A gut wrenching cracking noise echoed through the hallway as Hiccup collided with the floor. Blood trickled slowly out of Hic's mouth as Hans evilly kicked his stomach over and over.
"PLEASE...stop..." Hiccup struggled as he crawled away with his weak strength.
"NO HICCUP! THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT FOR DISOBEYING ME!!" Hans screamed at the top of his voice.
"Get away from my boyfriend, you fucker!" Merida yelled from the far end of the hall. Hans stopped slightly started at this foreign voice.
"Meri...da.." Hiccup wheezed.
Suddenly Merida stormed forward before pouncing on Hans like a puma. She slashed at his face with her hands and punched his nose repeatedly.
"YOU EVIL BASTARD! YOU DESERVE TO BE BURIED ALIVE!!!" Merida scream as she yanked Hans up by the scruff. She held him against the wall by his neck, Hans gasped for air but Merida continued to glare at him. Just as his face began to turn purple she let him go and he fell to the floor quivering.
"Coward!" She spat. Hiccup lay motionless on the floor with blood pouring from his nose. He coughed weakly as Merida pulled him up onto her lap.
"Oh Hiccup..." She whispered softly with tears pouring down her cheeks. "Baby why'd you not tell me.." She mumbled. Hic's eyes fluttered as he drifted unconscious.
"Call an ambulance!" Merida screamed at her friends. Rapidly, they jumped into action still shocked from Merida's fight with Hans. Jack and Jim held down Hans whilst Rapunzel called 911. Merida passed Hiccup over to Anya as she began inspecting his injuries.
"I-I think he got fractured ribs...deep bruising..there-there could be internal bleeding..." She trailed off. Merida's eyes trailed to Hiccup's pale face before she cupped his cheeks with her hands.
"I'm not gonna loose yer again baby.." She sniffled. "I am so..so sorry for not noticing anything..." Merida began crying uncontrollably as the ambulance sirens sounded in the distance.

"A coma Miss DunBroch." The doctor said to Merida. She sat frozen in her seat as she stared down at Hiccup.
"Will he make it out?" She trembled.
"He should. There was only minor head injuries but it was the operation we had to perform to stop the internal bleeding that induced the coma." The doctor replied.
"Oh...." Was all Merida could manage. The doctor left leaving Merida and the sleeping Hiccup alone.
"I love you...so um wake up...when you can Hic, I know you got fight in ya. So don't give up." With that she kissed his forehead and left quietly.
