You watched as the familiar blonde sat next to the bar counter, it was already late and you were an hour or two from finishing up for today.
"Rough day?" You asked as he turned to look at you with tired eyes, he looked like he hadn't slept in ages, "yeah, I feel like collapsing." He told you in his deep voice as he brushed his hand through his slightly messy hair.
"Well, what would you like for tonight?" You asked him as you placed down the glass you were cleaning on the counter, he seemed to be in thought for a moment, as he observed the glass.
"Something that'll get me through another job." He said as he glanced at you with tired eyes, "alright then," you stated as you made your way to the backroom, the coffee you had prepared for yourself was already done but had gotten cold because you had been pretty busy but it would be perfect for the drink you were about to prepare.
Prosciutto watched as you came back with the coffee, he raised his brow as he observed what you were doing.
One ounce vermouth, two ounces of rye whiskey, he wondered what you were exactly preparing for him, a couple of dashes of angostura, "I'm feeling a little fancy today so we'll also add some dashes of black walnut bitters." You stated as you carefully dashed some into the mixing glass, then you popped one ice cube into the mixing glass and stirred it for a few seconds.
Prosciutto watched the ice cube in the glass spin around as he tried to stay awake, soon you poured a little amount of coffee into the mixing glass and stirred it for a moment, then you poured it into two drinking glasses.
You set the equipment you had used away from the counter before you gently pushed one of the drinking glasses towards the blonde, making it slide next to his hand, he stared at it for a moment.
"Enjoy," you raised your glass up before you took a sip of the drink, Prosciutto raised his glass up slightly before he went to take a sip as well, it was excellent, the flavor of coffee didn't over drown the other flavors of the drink and it did make him feel better.
The two of you hung out there for a moment, he finished his drink as he got ready to pay but you raised your hand to stop him, "I'm about to close up soon anyway, there's no need to." You told him, he only nodded his head to you as a small 'thank you'.
You watched as he got up from his seat and gave you one last glance before he left, you hoped that drink had helped him to get through his next job, he always overworked himself, sighing you glanced down and stopped in your movements, you noticed a small piece of paper on the counter.
Picking it up and turning it around you let out a chuckle, it was a phone number with the words under it, 'I believe we have some cocktail chemistry.'
