Melone x reader

Leaning against the wall of an alleyway at night you held a cigarette between your fingers, waiting for him, your teammate, the lavender haired man who wore a mask, the mission was simple, eliminate a target, which was taking quite a long time, moving the cigarette to your lips and taking a breath in of the burning tobacco. 

The sound of footsteps, coming closer you glanced at him, he gave you a nod, signing how the mission was complete, he held a soft small smile on his face, "it was about the time." You spoke as you flicked the cigarette to the ground, and stepped upon it before following after Melone.

'Vampires are the enemy, 'Cause they'll do anything to get to me, They breed, but they never bleed, So they bleed from me, yeah they bleed and-'

"Now where did I park that car," Melone questioned as you followed after him, "don't tell me you forgot," you stated as you watched him with a tired expression, you had dark circles from the lack of sleep, Melone laughed softly as he smiled you again, "I'm joking, relax," You watched him with a tired look, "I'll get a cab," you told him as you slowly started walking away, "Hey, wait, come back!" Melone called out to you with slight desperation in his voice.

You heard the sound of a car beeping signing it was unlocked, turning to look at Melone who was holding the keys in his hand, you sighed, you weren't really up for any jokes, you were tired of all the work your capo kept on giving you, the lack of sleep and constant working was getting to you.

'-It's bringing me down, It sucks the life from me, Put me into the ground, Kill my misery.'

You sat on the passenger side as Melone started up the car, you leaned back on the seat, as you tiredly watched the dark night sky through the car window,  "do you want to get something to eat before we head back?" Melone asked as he began to drive, "I don't feel like eating anything, the thought of it just makes me sick."

You told him as you closed your eyes and took a deep breath in, the car radio was softly playing before Melone lowered the volume completely to zero.

He glanced at you with an expression that held slight worry within it, he moved his eyes back to the road, the night had only begun and there were many jobs to do.

'Vampires only want to pose, Empty mirror, but nobody knows, They kill just to be exposed, And they won't let go, they won't let go.'

You opened your eyes as you felt the car stop, you moved to glance outside the window, "where are we?" You asked Melone as you couldn't recognize your surroundings, "you'll see," He spoke as he turned off the car engine, you glanced at him with a tired look, "I'm not up for jokes-" "It's not a joke, just sit down, okay?" He told you as he moved to a comfortable position.

You were slightly confused as you watched Melone close his eyes, "don't we need to inform-" "Shhh." He shushed you, he opened one of his eyes to look at you, "just relax, okay?"  You stared at him in disbelief, before letting out a sigh, "you're gonna be in deep shit." You let out a soft laugh as you leaned back down, "yeah, later not now," he spoke softly. 

'Vampires don't know how to die, They disappear and then they multiply, They live just to take your life, So they take what's mine, yeah they take and-'

The two of you watched the night sky while sitting in the car, you could feel the sleep trying to catch up to you, "I feel like, everyone is depending on me." You told him, "everyone can wait," he told you, he slowly moved his hand to touch yours.

'It's bringing me down, It sucks the life from me, Put me into the ground, Kill my misery-ery-ery-ery-ery-ery.'

You let out a deep sigh as you closed your eyes, this job it was full of killing people, but it did kill you on the inside, you could feel Melone's thumb caress the palm of your hand as he held it, the two of you were in the same boat really, working in the mafia and tiring yourselves out with the work you were given.

You moved your hand which was holding onto his closer, pulling him closer to you, he gasped in surprise, but you kissed him on the lips, it was a short soft kiss.

"Thank you," you told him as you lowered yourself down again, closing your eyes, Melone stared at you in shock as his cheeks became rosy, his expression soon changed into a soft smile, "of course," he said as he laid back down, the two of you ended up sleeping in the car for few hours, having a small escape from the tiring work and the cold-hearted world itself.
