Summary: Alex is down in the dumps about not seeing Willie for a few days after they played the Orpheum. Luke, Reggie, Carlos, and Ray are all at Carlos' baseball practice while Julie is finishing up some homework. Julie gets done and goes downstairs to read when she notices Alex isn't acting quite right.

Julie just finished her last problem on her unusual amount of Calculus homework. She sighs in relief and leans back in her desk chair. Sometimes she thought her teacher was just out to make her students lives miserable. Since she had the house to herself and she hadn't read a good book since the ghosts came into her life, Julie picked up a mystery book Flynn recommended and headed down the stairs to read on the couch. What she didn't expect to see when she rounded the corner was Alex already on the couch, staring at the ceiling. "Hey Alex. I thought you were gonna watch Carlos' practice with the others." Julie said, snapping the drummer out of his trance. She lowered herself onto a neighboring armchair. "Yeah I was kind of tired and thought I could just hang here. Is that ok with you?" Alex asked, seeming unsure of his choice to stay back. "Yeah it's fine." The conversation stopped and Julie started on her book, occasionally glancing at Alex when he would sigh or start anxiously tapping things. The longer she stared, the more worried she got about her friend. Julie knew that Alex had anxiety and she knew what it was like. Julie came to a consensus that she was going to distract him from whatever funk he was in and she put her barely started book onto the coffee table. Guess her night of peace and reading was just going to have to wait. "That's it. We are going to have some fun tonight. Tonight is Alex and Julie bonding time!" She announced, getting up from her chair. Alex looked at her strangely but then after a few minutes started to smile. "What do you suggest we do on our night of bonding?" Alex asked. Julie thought for a minute but then got the perfect idea. "I have just the thing! Go get changed into something you can move around in." Julie said as she started back up to the stairs. She put on some leggings, a sports bra, and her dinosaur tee shirt. (A/N: sorry I keep using this shirt. I just love it so much.) She threw her hair up into a bun and went to go find their Wii console. Once she found it, she grabbed two controllers, and the game disc. Julie gathered the stuff up in her arms and carefully made her way down the stairs, almost tripping twice. Alex was there and waiting for her in some sweat pants and his pink shirt. Julie quickly plugged in the console and put in the disc. She set up the game and when Alex gave her a questioning look, she told him "We're gonna dance like nobody's watching." Julie finished setting up by pushing the coffee table out of the way so they would have more space. "What is this?" Alex asked. "It's a video game basically. It's called Just Dance. You just follow the movements on the screen and dance. Which song do you want to try?" After awhile of Alex asking what most of the songs were, he settled on a salsa dance that Julie had never done before. The timer counted them off and they started horribly. Neither of them were great dancers but soon enough they got the hang of it. Julie hadn't played this in a long time and forgot how fun it was. They were giggling and taunting each other the entire time saying things like "I'm about to crush you!" and "I am the best dancer in the world!". By the end of the song they were both laughing so hard their stomachs hurt. Julie turned off the game and they both laid on the hardwood floor, sprawled out. "Five years of ballet and three of tap and this is where it gets me." Julie said breathing heavily from her laughing fit. Alex turns his body so that he's leaning on his side with his head perched on his hand. "I didn't know you were a dancer." He said, waiting for an explanation. "I took dance outside of school for a long time and then my mom died and now all I do is dance in school. Which reminds me I should probably set up a dance practice for this weird duet thing I have to do in school with Nick." Julie groaned, not wanting to have to see Nick this weekend. "Who's Nick?" Alex asked, wiggling his eyebrows at Julie suggestively. "Stop! It's not like that. Well it isn't like that anymore." She said. Alex nodded at her to continue. "Flynn says I should give him a chance but I don't know. I had this crush on him since the seventh grade but he was always with Carrie. But now that he's broken up with her and he's actually noticing me, I... just don't like him anymore." Julie said, turning to face Alex in a position that mirrored his own. His smile reached his eyes and Julie just got confused. What had made him so happy about her life problems? "Right cause you like Luke." Alex said in a way that wasn't a question and more of an accusation. Immediately, Julie's reaction was to get defensive. "No! That is not it." She said, getting an eye roll from the blonde. "Oh come on! Everyone can see you two are perfect together except you and him! It's very frustrating sometimes." Julie punched him lightly in the shoulder. "Shut up. We are changing the subject." Alex looked fake hurt. "How could you, Julie? I was having so much fun teasing you." Julie giggled. "Ok, but for real what got you so worked up earlier. I could tell you were having some intense anxiety." Julie said putting on a serious face. Alex took a deep breath in. "How did you know?" He asked. "I have anxiety too. A whole lot of it actually. I used to get panic attacks a lot. They are less frequent but they still happen." Alex seemed shocked about her confession. "But you seem so collected all the time." He said still stunned that she had severe anxiety too. "Don't judge a book by it's cover. But back to you. What's wrong?" Julie said with a concerned tone. "Just boy troubles." Julie nodded in understanding. "Well I told you about mine so you can tell me about yours." Alex laughed and started explaining. "I'm just worried about Willie. I haven't seen him since our performance at the Orpheum. I mean, what if Caleb got to him? What if he's in serious danger? He risked so much to try and help us cross over. I just worry that he's not ok." Alex said looking down. Julie reached for his hand and squeezed it. "I'm sure he's just waiting it out. If Caleb was really hunting him down he would've asked for our help already." Julie said to calm Alex down and it worked. "Thanks, Julie. How did you know that dancing would help calm my nerves?" Alex asked pointing to the console. "Exercise releases endorphins and helps burn off adrenaline. Whenever I was on the verge of a panic attack after my mom died, I would go to the gym with Flynn and work out for hours. The attendants at the punching bag area even know my name. Flynn would sit out for that part though."  Alex smiled. "One more question. Who is Justin Bieber?" Julie burst out laughing at the question. "Man, you guys really missed two great decades." She said wiping her eyes. Alex is still looking confused as she is trying to get a hold of her giggles so she continues. "He's a famous pop singer. He was really big in the 2000's but he has some popular music now too. I can show you some of his music. I don't particularly like it but he has a collab with another artist named Ed Sheeran that's pretty good." Julie pulled out her phone and found a video on YouTube so they could listen to 'I Don't Care'. Alex started bopping his head along to the music and by the second time the chorus rolled around, he was singing along to it. Julie smiled at the sight of her friend happy and joined in on the vocals. They continued listening to music and dancing for the rest of the night until everyone came back from Carlos' baseball game. And if Alex and Julie were closer and started singing Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran randomly, nobody questioned it.
