So basically I did the funeral. Now I dont know what to do with this story. Its gonna be a mess lmaoooo.

☆Ember's POV☆

My plan today was just to go to school like a regular human being. But I honestly don't think I can handle that.

Mrs. Mary called me last night saying she really wanted to meet the twins, so I asked if she wanted to hang out with them today and she immediately agreed.

Me:
I'm not going to school today. Dont miss me too much ;)

Carl. (Jade)
Is everything ok?

Me:
Yeah I just don't think i can handle it today, I'll be back by tommorow.
Just tell the boys I'm sick...

Carl. (Jade)
Okay, be safe. Love you

Me.
Love you too

I take the twins over to Ashton's house. Pulling into the driveway, I see Mrs. Mary open her front door to meet me.

I grab Avery and Jay's hands as we walk up. Both the twins get distracted easily then run off in a different direction, so holding theirs hands keeps them on track.

"Hi Mrs. Mary!" I call out. "Hey Ember!"

"So this is Avery and Jay Smith." I introduce her. "This guys is Ashtons mother, Mrs. Mary. You guys will love her." I tell them softly, they were excited for preschool but a lot of places they get scared from the people.

"These kids are really sweet, they're quite independent though." I tell Mrs. Mary and she nods in understanding.

"Do you want me to pay you for everything you've done? I really don't mind to." I try to say but she cuts me off immediately. "That's not happening, have a good day Ember!"

"Yeah, you too!" I reply before giving each twin a kiss on the head, and driving off.

My plan for today keeps changing. After I decided I wasn't going to school, I thought I'd sit in my car and mope all day. But instead I'm on my way to Grant's farm.

The walk to the gravesite takes a little over 5 minutes. As I arrive at the cave, I don't know if I'm just imagining it or not. But it feels so lively and almost safe?

I sit down in front of the three gravestones, a small smile on my face.

"Hi Mom. Hi Dad. Hi Dustin." I start. "Theres so much I should tell you guys about."

°•Eliazer's POV•°

As I sit in my first class waiting to see Ember arrive. Her and Jade are always some of the last to get here.

My moms best friend is Mrs. Anderson, the health teacher. Most mornings she offers to drive me here, so I'm always at school really early.

I sit in my chair, scrolling my phone. I hear Jades voice say goodmorning to the teacher, but my frown grows when I notice she is alone.

Ember and Jade walk together at every moment they can. So when I see that Jade is walking by herself, the main explanation is that Ember isn't here today.

As class starts and Ember still doesn't show, the scowl on my face grows. After almost a month of being friends with Ember, I still don't have her phone number or any contact. I have Jade's though and she keeps us updated about what they are up to.

When Ember left the cafe, anyone could tell something was upsetting her. Then Jade barely texted us back and didn't say anything about what they were up to over the weekend.

My classes drag on and I can't tell if they seem to not end because I'm in a bad mood, or if they're more miserable since I can't focus on Ember instead.

As the bell signaling the end of 4th period. I grab my stuff and make my way out to the familiar tree. I notice that Jade and Jasper are already eating.

"Hey." Jade says as a I sit down, leaning against the tree. "Hey." I reply.

"Its odd not hearing Ember say 'hey fuckers' the moment she walks up." I joke and they laugh nodding

"Yeah she texted me this morning saying she's sick." Jade informs me and I nod. "Did she say what she has?" I ask and Jade shakes her head.

"No she literally just said. 'I'm not going to school, I'm sick.' Very descriptive, I know." Jade says and so i change the subject. "So what did you do this weekend?" I ask and Jade sucks in a breath.

"Well uhm, Em and I just uhm hung out at my house?" Jade says unsurely and I grow confused. She's lying about something, but why would she want to lie about her weekend.

"Is everything ok?" I ask her and she looks at me confused. "Yeah why wouldn't I be?" Jade asks.

"You just sounded so unsure about about what you said. You can tell us anything, ok." I say and she stares at me. "Its not me that people should be worried about." Jade mutters and I almost miss it.

"What do you mean? Is Ember ok?" I question lowly and Jade curses under her breath. "I shouldn't have said anything, just drop it." She replies immediately.

"Why are you both so secretive? What are you hiding from us? Ember seems fine, what is going on." I stressed, my voice raising the more I talked.

"It isn't my place to say anything Eli, I'm sorry." Jade whispered. "But you said everything you need to know youself." She muttered and I grew more confused.

"You said Em seems fine. This might hurt to hear, but you know nothing beyond what Ember seems like to you." Jade told me. "Now can we drop this conversation?" Jade whispered and I nodded.

She turned her attention back to Jasper who had been silent throughout the conversation, as I began eating again.

Throughout the rest of lunch we were stuck in a awkward, tense silence. No one tried to break as we ate. My concern for Ember growing every minute, but I didn't know what to worry about.

  ☆Ember's POV☆

I sat at the gravesite for the entire day. I told my family a couple things. But I really didn't say much.

It felt good to just sit there. I was probably imagining everything but I felt safe there.

As I finally decided to speak, I knew exactly what I needed to tell them. "So guys, I met someone."

"Well two people actually. Mom all the times you said that I only meet good people through my own stupidity, I think you're on to something there. I'm sure you guys saw what I did in the target that day. They stuck around though, so i guess it's ok."

"They're both really nice. Jade and Jasper have gotten really close, he seems great for her. Eliazer on the other hand seemed mean at first but he wasn't very good at being mean apparently." I told them with a laugh.

"I really like these boys. You guys would to. I think they'll be good for me. I hope they don't prove me wrong." I whisper

"I love you, I'll always be here. Just stay with me, I still need your help." I tell them as I lay on the ground above them, staring up at the sun setting above me. I smile softly as I watch the stars start to shine over me.
