Avery and Jay Smith's aesthetic board! When I first created their characters I didn't expect for them to be such important characters to the story. But I love the characters they turned out as.

  "Hey guys! How was school?" I ask as I go to pick up Avery and Jay from preschool.

   "Good!" Avery responds immediately. "Why are you carrying a baby?" Jay asks staring up at me.

  "Its for a project." I tell them. "So what do you guys want to do today." I ask them and wait for them to come up with a response. "Can we just go home, I haven't been there in forever." Jay groans and I nod.

   "Yeah of course kiddos. Jade you wanna come with?" I ask. "No I think I should just go home today. Sorry guys." She says and they nod. "Alright let's go then." I say

  As we arrive home, I hand Avery, Jared and pray that she doesn't manage to kill a robot while I gone.

  Surprising absolutely no one, I find brad passed out on the kitchen floor. I start to pick up all his trash from around the house and start some laundry for me and the twins clothes.

   Then I go to take the quickest shower I can and change back into the clothes I had been wearing today. Opening the door to my room quietly, I find Avery and Jay both sleeping. Jared being held tightly in Avery's small arms.

  Not wanting to disturb the kids while they're asleep. I decide this is a good time to run by Mrs. Mary's house to get the pets back. Sending her a quick text I hop back in my car.

   Ringing the doorbell, less than 30 seconds later Mrs. Mary is already answering. "Oh my gosh, Ember dear. What a lovely surprise." She says hugging me. I immediately hug back. "Hi, sorry for coming at such short notice. I just had some free time with the twins asleep and decided it was time to pick my pets back up." I tell her.

   "Oh of course! I'm gonna miss the little guys though. You have great pets." She tells me and I nod in agreement. "Yeah they're the best."

  "I really wanted to thank you for everything you've done. I really dont know what I would do without your help these days." I tell her. "Can I take you out to dinner sometime, or do anything for you in return?" I ask, really wanting to do something nice for her.

  "Theres a new brunch place nearby, Robert refuses to go there so I haven't been able to try it yet." She tells me. "Great, of you want just text me the adress and we'll meet there on Saturday? Or whenever works for you." I tell her.

   "Yeah Saturday is perfect. I haven't had a girls day in so long." She says making me smile. "Oh right, let me help you get the little cuties." She says leading me into the house.

   "Hey buddy!" I squeal seeing Roscoe come running up. "I missed you baby." I tell him rubbing his neck.

   Mrs. Mary and I get the birds situated in my car and let Roscoe jump in the front. "How much I would love to stay and talk. I have no clue how long the twins will stay asleep for, and I have to take care of a robot baby." I tell her before thanking her again and heading home.

   When I get to my room I hear Jared crying and immediately go to help him.

   Let me tell you, the fact that I have to spend my time to change a robots diaper is kinda sad. But it reminds me of the old dolls i used to take care of when I was little. Except Jared is way more annoying.

   "Ember?" Avery's sleeping voice called out. "Hey honey." I said but taking a closer look I could see the tears staining her face. "Avery honey, what's wrong." I ask softly.

   "You're leaving me soon. You're leaving both Jay and I." She says and I grow confused. "Ave's I'm not going anywhere." I tell her. "Don't say that yes you are!" She yells.

  "You're turning eighteen in two weeks and you'll leave Jay and I again as soon as you move!" She yells, her eyes wide and bloodshot. "Come here." I say softly sitting on the bed and she shuffles over to my lap.

   "Yes I will be moving, but I'm buying a house big enough for us both. We will have room there, more room then a twin bed for the three of us." I tell her, playing with her long blonde hair. "What about dad?"

   "We can't just leave him." She says and I sigh. "No one said you have to live with me for good. But your dad isn't the best person honey." Kissing her head softly, I just sit and hold her.

   "I need to go get the pets out of the car. I'm wasting gas keeping them in their." I tell her and she squeals. "Roscoe is back!" She says happily and I nod. "Come on let's go get him" I tell her and she jumps up happily, as I trail behind her.

  "Hey Seth!" I call through the phone. "Hey Ember, what's up?" He asks back. "Well I'm trying not to be a failure of a friend like before." I trail off. "Oh yeah and when can I come visit you guys again?" I ask him.

  "We don't have classes this weekend, you can stay with us for a couple days." He tells me. "Okay, I have brunch with Ashtons mom on Saturday, so I'll be there after that." I say. "Sounds good."

   "Wait you're having brunch with Ashtons mom?" He asks and I laugh. "Yeah, I wanted to do something for her. Plus I love breakfast."

   "Em, I've never seen a person like food more than you. Don't just categorize it to breakfast food." Seth scolds me and I scoff. "Wow, rude."

   "Anyways I gotta go, my baby won't stop crying" I tell him and am just about to hang up the phone.

  "Okay, I'll see you Saturday." He says. "Wait what!" He yells as my words dawn on him. "Ember Rose Star, what have you done now!"

  "School project, chill out. Bye!" I say and hang up the phone.

  "Em?" Jay asks. "Yeah hun?"

   "I was texting Jade on your phone and she said that you guys have partners for that baby project." He pointed out and I got the sudden urge to strangle a certain beautiful person. "Wait really who is it?" Avery asks and I internally groan further.

   "You guys remember Eliazer?" I ask. "Is he the mean guy that you keep trying explain to us that's he's nice?" Avery asks. "He is nice, hes just a little scary looking. But he isn't mean" I tell her.

   "He literally doesn't talk." Jay quips back. "Yeah he is a little quiet at time, but hes sweet." I tell them and they both look at me like I'm insane. "He is!" I exclaim.

  "Stop defending him so much." Jay says. "Yeah this is weird." Avery adds. "I'm gonna wack you both if you keep saying mean things about him." I warn them playfully.

   "You would never." Avery taunts. "You're right, I really would never." I say and kiss both their foreheads.

   "Em?" Jay says again. "Yeah?"

   "Thank you."
