Agastya pov -

As we were leaving the Shahs' bungalow, Mom and Dad headed toward their car while my two younger siblings followed me to mine. I slid into the driver's seat as Kiara and Arman fought over the shotgun position.

"You sat there on the way here, and you said I could sit on the way back!" Arman argued, glaring at Kiara.

Kiara made a face and retorted, "We've been twins for 20 years now. You should've known better than to trust my words."

Their bickering continued until I finally lost patience.

"Arman, you sit in the front. Kiara, you're in the back," I said firmly, leaving no room for argument. They obeyed, though Kiara was clearly sulking.

Arman, on the other hand, looked like a kid who'd just been given a Christmas present. But I knew Kiara wouldn't stay quiet for long.

As I started driving, Kiara began to sing, "Bhai and Aahana sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

Arman turned to me with interest. "Is that so? I noticed some sparks between you two, but I didn't know you were dating. Good choice, Bhai. I like her," he said with a grin.

Even at the mere mention of her name, I couldn't help but smile.

"Wait, are you smiling, Bhai?" Arman's observation snapped me out of my thoughts, and I glared at him.

"I'm not smiling, and you keep your mouth shut," I warned. Then I glanced at Kiara in the rearview mirror. "And you, stop singing nonsense songs. I've noticed the smiles you've been giving her."

"Oh, so now we can't even smile at her? So possessive, Bhai," Kiara teased, and Arman chuckled.

"Both of you, shut up, or I'll tell Mom about your drinking and hookah sessions."

That effectively silenced them, and I felt a wave of satisfaction at regaining control over my younger siblings. I drifted back into thoughts of Aahana.

She's perfect. So damn beautiful. I've seen hot girls, sure—girls practically throw themselves at me—but I've never seen anyone who can match her. During that meeting, while she was talking all legal stuff, I think my heart did a little somersault. The way she smiled, the way she explained everything, the way she commanded the entire conference room—I couldn't stop staring. Even after the meeting, she was all I could think about. And at the Shahs', when she came downstairs shouting at her brother, I was shocked to see her again. She looked stunning in that jumpsuit, and when she blushed around me, I knew I had to have her. I felt like I was losing control whenever she was near. Like when I asked her out—that surprised even me. I've never asked anyone out, ever. And when I held her hand, my only intention was to give her my number, but when I took her hand in mine, it felt like it belonged there, like it was made just for me. I couldn't resist teasing her; she looks so cute when she's angry. And did I mention her smile?

And did I mention her smile?
