Chapter 23 - Meeting

I woke up to an annoying alarm noise.
"Shut that fucking device up or else I'll throw it" Shrush groans and kicks me.
I shut the alarm and was about to go to sleep when I realised that little vacation is over and I have to go to work.
I immediately got up and directly went to the shower. I stepped out after taking a quick hot bath and went to my closet.
I had a meeting with the Joshi's and before that I had to meet our new investors with my boss.

I wore a beige turtleneck top and black blazer with black trousers.
I took my work bag and went to my nightstand to get my phone. Where I saw two beautiful girls sleeping peacefully. One was drooling all over and the other was sleeping diagonally on the bed. I quickly took a photo and send it to my girl gang group.
I stepped out of my room and went downstairs where my parents were having breakfast.
"Hellooooo my favourite people, I missed you" I announced my arrival and hugged them tightly.
"Good morning my baby, I missed you more" my dad says.
My mom hits my dad on the shoulder.
"Say we missed you more not you missed her more" my mom scolds my dad and my dad raised his eyebrow at mom and she stuck her tongue out at him.
"Real mature guys, anyways where is that annoying son you yours" I ask mom.
"He is sleeping, can you go and wake him up. I'll get your breakfast ready until then" my mom asked me, and I smirk at her.
"Sure mom, that's my favourite job" I told her and walked towards Aahan's room. I entered the room and saw that he was sleeping upside down on the bed with one of his leg hanging at the edge. I went to his bathroom and took very hot water in the glass. I then thought of going a bit extreme and wrote I will kill you on his mirror with a red lipstick in a ghost handwriting and you are dead on his headboard then I opened the door so that I can run away quickly. I then splash the now warm water on his face and ran downstairs. Soon I heard his panicked voice and schemes. And I burst out laughing.
I heard some footsteps and I knew it was him.
"You bitch, you did this right. I knew you would pull something like this. I hate you. Why did you come back? You should've stayed there. Can't wait for you to go to London" he groaned and went back in the room, while I laughed harder.
"Why is he shouting" came Rhea's sleepy voice as she walks in the living area.
"He has mental problems, we forgot to give him the medicine last night" I say all seriously and then we both started laughing.
"Aahana breakfast is ready, stop laughing and come eat something" my mom shouts from kitchen and we went there.
"Aahana what did y..... Rhea hii baby how are you, why are you looking so thin. Where were you all these days you didn't visit us even once last month. How's your dance academy going? How's your parents? I hope you are here for a few days. Aahana why didn't you tell me she was here I could've maid her favourite aloo ke parathe and cheeko milkshake." My mom started ranting. My mom has always treated all three of them just like she treats me. Sometimes even more special then me, she loves them incredibly.
"Good morning auntie, I am not fine until you feed me aloo paratha" Rhea folds her hand and pouts at her.
"It will be ready in 15, until then you can start with some munching. And Aahana I want you to complete your pancake and only then you can leave" my mom pointed at me, which reminds me that I have to rush to work.
I quickly took my coffee and pour it into my car mug. Then I took a big bite of pancake and got up to leave.
My dad was about to stop me and call mom but I showed him my puppy face and whispered a please. He chuckled at me expressions and opened his arms. I quickly hugged him and then gave a back hug to Rhea.
"Babe I'll meet you in the evening just don't go home and tell that to Shrush" I told her and she was about to protest when I heard my mom coming out. I took my car keys and was about to step out of door when I heard my mom shout.
"Aahana get back in here" she shouted.
I ran towards my car and start the engine. I then rushed outside my house. I got a call from mom and I ignored it. I'll deal with her later.
I then connected my phone to the car and put my music on shuffle.
Around the 3rd song my phone went off and I picked it up.
"Good morning girlfie" I heard Agastya's sleepy/husky voice.
"Good morning baby. Did you sleep well?" I ask him because he was preparing for the meeting till late.
"Hmmm, I managed to get 4 hour sleep" he replied.
"Babe the meeting is at 4 pm so go back to sleep, if you want I'll call and wake you up at 1 o clock". I suggested.
"You are the best fucking girlfriend ever, good night baby" he said in a soft voice.
"Good night babe, sleep well" I told him and then waited for a reply but got none. I guess he is already asleep. I cut the call.
I reached my office soon and went to my boss's cabin.
"Hello Mam, ohhhhh you are big now. Are you sure you should be here?" I went inside and stopped in the middle when I saw how big she had become.
"Please don't start with that, I already had a fight with my husband this morning. This is just the seventh month" she throws her hands up in frustration.
"Okay, I am sorry boss, you are the mother you know it better and btw you are glowing in pregnancy" I complimented her and she started crying.
I quickly rushed to her and took her in my arms.
"Why are you crying di?" I ask her while stroking her back.
"Idk hormones maybe" she answered and I laughed at her.
"Okay miss pregnant lady stop crying and start talking business " I tell and she nodded.
"So update me with everything" I ask her.
She got back into her boss mode and updated me with everything.
"And you have to attend the investors meeting alone today and also the settlement meeting with the Joshi's because my gynaecologist told me not to travel much, so I'll deal with the paperworks and you will be dealing with the court cases and the meetings" she told me and I nodded. She gave me the files for the meetings and I stood up to leave.
"Before I go, I wanna give you something." I gave her a jar.

"This is your baby shower gift and I asked them to put in some extra chocolates so enjoy" I wink at her.
She was about to cry.
"Okay so don't get me wrong but I am going to walk out now before you get your pregnant tear drops on my shoulder" I went to my cabin and started working.
Soon it was time for my meeting with the new investors and then with the Joshi's so I exited my office and took my baby(coffee) and set the GPS to the clients office.
It took me 40 minutes to reach there and the meeting was settled in 30 minutes. I was set off early as the meeting with Joshi's is in two hours.
I called Kiara and planned to meet them in the mall as I was free for another few hours.
"So what's your brother doing" I asked her.
"He is sleeping beautifully and peacefully" she said sassily.
"Omfgg, I forgot to wake him up. K bear I'll call you when I reach the mall, bye" I quickly cut the call and called my handsome sleeping beautiful boyfriend.
He picked it up on the last ring.
"Hello baby" he said huskily from the other side.
"Thank god you woke up, now you have exactly 2 hours to get ready and reach the office babe" I told him.
"Whatttttt! Are you serious? Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" He asked me.
"Babe I was with a client and I lost track of time. Anyways don't waste your time and get up and get ready. I am going to the mall and then I'll meet you up in the office" I told him.
"Oh nononono, you are not leaving me all alone. You are not going to the mall, meet me at the aromas cafe near my office in 1/2 n hour and order a large hazelnut Americano and a grilled cheese croissant" he said in a warning voice.
"Ughhh fine. I am only doing this because it was my fault but you have to cover up for this and take me to shopping. Anyways come fast, I don't like when someone keeps me waiting. Especially when that someone is my boyfriend" I told him and cut the call.
I reached the cafe in 20 and ordered our coffee and his croissant.
He entered the cafe after 10 minutes and started looking out for me. He found me in the corner and walked towards the table. He kissed my cheek and sat down next to me. I blushed at his actions.
"I missed this blush soo much" he told me.
"We met just like 15 hours ago babe" I made a weird face.
"Whatever where's my coffee and food?" He asked me.
"It'll come soon, btw are you prepared for the meeting" I asked him.
He removed his files from his bag and kept it on the table.
"Yeh I am. But I need some explanation for clause 15 of the settlement" he pointed out on the paper.
I looked at the clause and explained him. We discussed some more and had our beverages and then it was time for the meeting so we got up and walked towards the office which was right across the cafe.
We were holding hands subconsciously and as we entered the lift I turned around to see all the employees were looking at us with wide eyes.
"Why are they looking at us? It's not like we are.." I looked down at our hands and quickly took my hand away.
He looked at me questioningly.
"Aren't you worried that your father will come to know about us?" I ask him.
"You are not a hiding material babe. You are a proud show off material" he said which brought the red tint back to my cheek.
I hit his shoulder playfully and he laughed at me.
We reached the meeting floor and entered the conference hall.
Mr. Joshi were standing in the corner talking to some men.
As soon as he saw us he came towards us and he took me in for a hug. I was surprised at first but then I hugged him back.
"It's soo nice to see you Aahana, how are you?" He asked me.
"Thank you and like wise. Btw I am very much fine and happy and I know you are very happy too because my boss told me that you are trying to settle down with this company for years now and it is finally happening. Congratulations" I wished him.
"Thank you dear and yeh it's right I have been trying for a long time now, anyways let's start the meeting now" he said.
"While I am being completely ignored here by my own father, I will take the stand now" Agastya pointed at the podium and started walking towards it and we laughed at his words.
We took our seats and Agastya commenced the meeting.
The meeting went on for 3 fucking long hours, but ultimately it was a successful meeting as both the parties were at profit.
Agastya did very well and I could see him as a future CEO of this company.
"I would like to thank everyone for coming today and I also would like to host a party in honour of this settlement tomorrow." Mr. Joshi announced and everyone started congratulating each other.
Everyone started leaving the office and Agastya took my hand and started walking towards his office.
He shut the office door and pushed me to the door.
