Chapter 13- Holi pt.1

Third Person POV

Aahana was sleeping peacefully when Shrusti, Rhea, and Anushka quietly sneaked into her room—armed with colors, a bucket of ice-cold water, and a camera.

Because obviously... this crime needed documentation.

The three girls struggled to control their laughter as they looked at Aahana, who was snoring like she had just completed a marathon.

"Looks like someone had a very rough night," Rhea whispered, earning suppressed giggles from the other two.

"Okay, Anu—you handle the camera. I'll pour the water. Rhea, you attack with the color. Got it?" Shrusti instructed.

Both nodded.

"Camera... rolling... action!" Anushka announced dramatically.

And in the next second—

Splash.

Ice-cold water hit Aahana.

She shot up instantly, completely shocked—and before she could even process what was happening, Rhea aggressively smeared red color all over her face and hair.

"What the—?!" Aahana yelled.

"HAAAAAAPPPPPYYYYYY HOLIIIIIIIIII, BABYYYYYY!" all three screamed in unison.

They turned to run—

But froze.

Because Aahana... started crying.

Aahana's POV

Okay, saying I was shocked would be an understatement.

But also... this is exactly the kind of chaos I expect from my best friends.

So naturally—

I decided to fake cry.

And oh my God, it worked like magic.

Within seconds, they were all around me.

"What happened, Aahana?"
"Babe, we're so sorry!"
"We didn't know you'd cry!"
"Ana, please come out of it!"
"Are you okay?"

I sniffed dramatically. "I don't want to talk to anyone."

And before they could say anything else, I ran into the washroom and locked the door.

I could already imagine them panicking outside.

Perfect.

Quickly, I filled a bucket with water and added a bit of blush to tint it pink.

Then, quietly, I opened the door.

"Babe, are you alri—"

Before Anu could finish—

SPLASH.

I dumped the entire bucket on them.

They stood there.

Soaked.

Shocked.

Frozen.

And I absolutely lost it.

"I'll give you this one," Rhea said, wiping her face. "That was good."

And then we all burst out laughing.

Thank God this isn't my room.

"Okay, what's the plan?" I asked.

"Umang di and Dhruv jiju are hosting the Holi party, so we need to get ready," Anu said.
